She is a demigod, daughter of the Goddess of Loss and Grief, called the burying one. The title, because of the burying of the souls who pass. She standing there in every funeral procession, watching as the corpse becomes one with the earth.

Cody's powers are few and far between, but that doesn't mean she doesn't work to prove herself useful when she needs to. She can grow all sorts of plants and brew concoctions if need to, sometimes she likes to pretend she is but a little witch making spells, when in reality it's just a combination of tea leaves to help her brother sleep through the night with good dreams.

However, that doesn't mean she has nothing. Ironically, despite the trauma and life changes the flame has given her, it's the one thing she has inherited from her mother. Think of it as... a cremation. Fire, after all, is the best way to dispose of the corpse. Put them to final rest, to dust, to ash. She rarely uses this.

It's a common thing for little girls to look up to their mothers, and young Cody remembers her mother's lullaby's fondly, a way to be lulled to sleep, in a world of her own imagination, where everything would be okay. Perhaps this same lullaby, once sung by the vocal cords of a god, is useful in putting foes to rest as well...
