Hao has always had a very cheerful, happy go lucky, and kind of, not exactly dumb but, not "smart" outlook on life. He doesn't really pick up on social cues that often, commonly known to do some accidentally stupid things with a big grin on his face and compliments ready to be given to others. He is a polite person, calm, and just an all around gentle being. Very good boy very wholesome very would die for him anyways I'm running out of words.
He also does his best to try and impress the people he cares about. He looks up to the person who seem to just, not care. Cool people man, he just wants to be worthy of his friends and will do whatever he can to gain the praise of others.

Despite all of this, man has some trauma given the fact he is

Going to die.
He has always had this aloofness about his death. Not wanting to bring it up, in fact, he hid it from his closest friends and only family and employers know. While his friends know that he has a heart illness, they aren't aware of the fatality.
Internally he is really depressed. He has a deep internalized fear of death and what's going to happen. His whole life he told himself he would be kind to people but not make close connections so he wouldn't get hurt and try to fight what he knew was coming.
But he broke that promise to himself.
He feels like he's on his tipping point, so scared he's going to break. The fact that he lived as long as he has is a miracle he has acknowledged, but it feel so greedy and cruel for, wanting more.
He has a jealousy problem, being very protective over the people he's close to in this fear he'll loose them, this added to his low self esteem makes the issue worse when you think about how he tries to hard to meet these standards he set for himself he worthy of his friends.

|| HOBBIES/INTERESTS ||

Hao has always been an artist, and quite good at it too! He picked up art when he was real little in hospitals, and has been improving greatly over the years. While his best work has been things like land scapes, portraits and more mature drawings.
He still can't help it when most of his sketchbooks pages are filled with doodles of his friends or oc's he had made for himself. Ideal versions of himself fill each page as he wishes he had the ideal body he can draw on paper. Each little line perfectly modified for him.
He's also a gamer. Despite his gentle, kind, softness, he is in high rankings in many FPS games and works hard every time he's off duty to maintain his positions.
He had met some online, international and local friends as well this way.

Oh he also eats and sleeps a whole lot. This man eats so much it's insane. It had a lot to do with the medicine he takes and the way his body digests food, but yeah.
He really likes bread.

|| STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES ||

His strengths probably come in the form of his kindness and empathy. He will never hesitate to stop  and drop everything to support someone else. Also his art is, pwetty good if I do say so myself.
His weakness comes in physically. He is really, really weak. Can barely lift anything on his own. He's slow, his legs aren't the best, and he can't run without needing to stop and remember how to breathe. Also his jealous and horrible self esteem issues.

Death and being alone. Yeah-
He had always known he was going to die. Once he knew what death was and could comprehend it, his father set him down and told it bluntly to Hao, he was going to die.
But that never stopped the fear of what will happen when it comes, in fact. It's probably made that fear worse.

|| HOW'D THEY COME TO WORK AT THE PALACE ||

He was supposed to die at 16, so despite Hao working hard in school and getting good grades, he never did anything when it came to getting an occupation. He didn't apply for college or go to any specialized classes or after school activities. When he did live past 16, his doctors now saying he won't make it past 21 with a 97% accuracy promise, Hao realized he didn't want to live this beginning to his adult years doing nothing, so he worked hard and students and eventually applied to work in the palace, being accepted as a tutor, since to be honest that's all he could do.

|| THOUGHTS ON THE ROYALS ||

He likes them! He wishes they were a bit more polite, especially Barry, but overall has no problem with them. He works hard for their schooling, especially wanting to prove himself since he is younger than some of them, but overall just tries to do his best!
He has no particular favorite. 

|| THOUGHTS ON THE SELECTION ||

He is nervous, yes, to have new strangers come into the palace. He doesn't know what they will be like or who they are, but he just assumes that's something he can't control, and will do his best to do his part.

|| MEDICAL CONDITIONS ||

He had hereditary, rare, and fatal heart disease that he got from his mother who passed when Hao was young. His heart is extremely weak and he is very prone to heart attacks and heart failure. He takes pills daily and has gone to the hospital so many times in his youth he knows all the nurses in his local hospitals names my heart. Because of this, his body is very weak as well,
