Chapter 7 : Ryotatsu

"Kirishima,"

"Oh, Himurabro! What's up?"

This was new. Not about his mother's surname being used to call him but, a person actually called him in such a friendly way. This wasn't the first...Katsuki did call him 'icyhot', 'half and half bastard' too. Prince Inasa, his friend called him Todoroki. Other than that, people just called him; 'Your Highness' or 'Crown Prince'. Shoto watched the semi-dragon sharpening some spears, he assumed Eijiro was a blacksmith. Dragons don't need weapons, right? Shoto now had gotten curious.

"What are these for? Do dragons need spears?" Shoto inquired.

"Some dragons fight in their dragon form while some in their human form. And transforming can take a lot of stamina, can't last for long too- so while in combat like war, we constantly switch form and use spears. Not all of us use weapons though. For my magic that could be useless against armours- I have to use weapons," Eijiro spoke with a grin and Shoto nodded.

"You probably need one as a traveller for defence. Want any weapons? I can make them for free if it's you! You're our honourable guest after all!" He exclaimed and Shoto considered the offer. Prince Shoto's speciality was using two swords. Using one was difficult enough but Shoto was able to master it. His father said it was best for him to use two weapons due to his two elemental magic. Therefore, Shoto was trained for it.

"A dagger, a sword, name it all," Eijiro knocked his chest once in proud. "Perhaps, a katana sword is fine," Shoto told.

So the red-haired male does so, began working on Shoto's sword. Shoto left to continue his treatment and watch the kids and after some hours he came by to look at Eijiro's progress. The redhead said it'll take two to three weeks...the children will be healed in a week. He wondered if Katsuki would still let him stay.

Shoto still needs to explore the plants. Especially those dangerous plants. The more dangerous they are, the more promising the effects would be. Still couldn't be certain he will be in danger for nothing. For that, he'll need those swords. If a person without mana took about 6 months to make one katana sword, Eijiro told he had a partner named Tetsutetsu who had a speciality in metals and was able to make the process faster.

"Will Bakugo be like, you know- extremely close to someone if anyone irritated him? Not like that, like literally close- glaring dagger down on you like he was about to make your whole existence disappear," Shoto asked and Eijiro blinked, thinking for a moment. "Bakubro glares at everyone, my dude. But being extremely close, that's new. I think he would be farther rather than being close. Like if he's in a bad mood with me he would just punch me out of nowhere just because I stand next to him- thank god I hardened my face with my magic just in time,"

"Is that so?" Shoto mumbled. "Do you have the book that contained details of dangerous plants on this land?" he asked.

"Yeah. You wanna borrow it? Sure thing!"

One choice Shoto regretted. He should have met Eijiro and borrowed it from him instead. "No, just wanted to ask. Nonetheless, thank you,"

A week has passed. The children were all running merrily due to their full recovery and Shoto received words of gratitude countless times. They even gifted him some food, clothes and flowers as gifts. Even planned to make a small thank you party for the omega prince. Shoto was bashful by this much attentiveness. Through the crowds, his heterochromia eyes caught sight of Katsuki not from far who soon looked at him. He could see the ash-blond turned away to show he doesn't care and Shoto walked through the people to go towards him.

And once he did, he grabbed onto Katsuki's wrist which made the Dragon King halted.

"Don't chase me out just yet," Shoto breathed out. "I- want your permission to stay here, doing research on the plants in your land. About the room I'm in, I'll work on the rent payment. I can do any work, I-"
