Noble and Pride [Katsuki Bakugo x Shoto Todoroki]

Chapter 4 : Ryotatsu

The prince seized the plate of the meal but hasn't done anything just yet. He looked again at the tray to find nothing but glasses of plain water for both Katsuki and Shoto. What was he expecting, you may ask?

A pair of cutleries. A knife, a pair of chopsticks, or a spoon perhaps? However, there was none. "Oi, I'm talking to you!" Katsuki snapped. The young king's hands directly grabbed Shoto's plate. He assumed the prince didn't want the food so he was intending to take it back. Nonetheless, Shoto pulled it back in an opposite way. Not having the will to let the meal be taken.

Katsuki raised an eyebrow. "You're just gonna stare on it until it's spoilt, anyway! Motherfucking bastard-"

As if. Shoto was hella famished and he ain't refusing this opportunity. Katsuki finally let go with a huff and rolled his eyes, proceeded eating his own meal. Shoto inspected carefully, trying to imitate the other male's committing. It was honey-roasted chicken with some stir-fried veggies on the side. Katsuki was tearing the chicken by parts and ate them by using hands, which was totally not inside Shoto's eating etiquette and mannerism lessons.

Katsuki looked at Shoto with a gaze filled with oddness. This man outfitted as a peasant, why wasn't he eating like one? His body was rigid as if he had never eaten meals so messily, nor by only hands. He noticed that by Shoto's constant wiping on his mouth whenever he felt like he wasn't eating clean.

"You're not a peasant,"

The bi-colored crown prince thwarted his eating. Oh no. He didn't plan to be caught so easily like this. Katsuki even has seen his hair and his eyes, all the posters all over the city. Presumably there's some in this land too since he has seen them in every kingdom he went-

Wait.

There's no way this land has a democratic relationship with Doryoku. It's filled with dragons and Doryoku was famous for dragon hunting.

"A traveler, doing some shitty research about remedies and these wounds you've healed...you're the real fucking deal,"

Yes, yes. Remain assuming so. How can a prince learn about making medicines, being out here in such clothes, and hiding anyway? Why would a prince run rather than living in amenity? Because he was in a forced marriage? Then that prince shouldn't have known about medicines let alone having a scar on his face like his own. Shoto felt offended by his own thoughts but to hell with that.

Shoto swallowed the remaining piece in his mouth after some slow chew. This is paradise. Finally a decent meal. The food he has eaten before was skewered anyway, not directly grabbed by hands like now. This was such a great repayment for all the medicines he just wasted on treating this cocky king.

"I have no harmful intention. Just merely passed by you and being a decent human being I am, decided to help you," Shoto spoke.

Katsuki snorted to that. "A decent human being would have pee in their pants and run for their life after seeing me, fucktard. Injured or not injured, I would still be able to tear your fucking limbs one by one.

I never asked for some shitty help. Don't expect a fucking thanks. Your decision, yeah?"

What's empathy? Shoto now suddenly forgot about the meaning. Totally after saving this Dragon King's ass from pathetically bleeding to death. Nonetheless, scrambles of footsteps were heard as well as some wailing from a woman outside of their home immediately surprised both men. Katsuki hastily stood from the bed just to see a lady, entered with a panicked expression.

"A-Another child is on the edge of death by this terrible disease, my king!"

The young king's face grimaced in frustration, looked even pained than before when he was losing so much blood. That actually made Shoto stunned. Before Katsuki could say anything, Shoto wiped his hands clean with his handkerchief and eyed the lady, grabbing his waist bag that was filled with medical supplies.
