Chapter 41 : Yamari

"Are you done yet, halfie?!"

The yell spread throughout the wooden house. Shoto was instantly alarmed, sped up his packing up the pace and did not bother to fold them neatly anymore, instead of shoving them into his backpack. It wasn't a harsh battle to slaughter the demon that has been putting this kingdom on edge. 'It was harder to face your fucking demon' Katsuki implied before. 

Regardless, everyone was worn out. The plan didn't go as smoothly as they wanted yet they were able to put destruction as minor as they could. Villagers were still avoiding Shoto, the prince couldn't deny he still had a small pang of pain when children gave him the look of fear. But they were lesser than before. Instead of pure hatred, they just tended to avoid him. A little improvement to say the least. 

Now they're on their way to prepare themselves for the last battle; the war against Doryoku. 

Shoto couldn't believe this. He had expected none of this. Katsuki's arm wrapped tight around his wrist along the bouncy ride of the carriage, heading to Inasa's kingdom, Kazerashi. The alpha's scent lingered around him as his head leaned onto the muscular shoulder. Katsuki made him feel safe the most, made him feel happy the most. He promised himself to keep them as they are, no matter what it takes. 

"Sleepy already, half and a half?" 

A raspy voice stole his attention, heterochromatic orbs took a moment to look and he simply nuzzled further into his arm. "I prefer sweetheart better," 

A snort. "Yeah, a damn pain in the ass would suit you more," 

"Mine's pretty hurt. You were being rough last night," Shoto teased and the ash-blond snapped. "Guess which dumbass decided to seduce me, when he needed rest?" he flicked the prince's forehead, which made Shoto let out a tiny yelp. "So much fucking energy," he added some grumbles and the prince merely chuckled. 

"Can't believe we're going to that Baldy's place. Was about to celebrate his absence," More grouses left Katsuki's lips and Shoto started to find it amusing. "You can celebrate your meeting with him instead. You two get along well," 

"Ha?! Which part of us getting along well?! Your pretty eyes are useless, they can't fucking see shit," Katsuki snarled and Shoto laughed. "Just admit that you're jealous. I find it cute," 

"You're /mine/. There ain't nothing wrong with admitting I'm jealous. If that baldy tries to make a funny move..." Katsuki cracked his fists and flashed his signature grin. "I probably wouldn't mind tasting human flesh,"

"I'm offended," Shoto pouted. "I assumed you're already satisfied with me,"

"What-" Katsuki blinked and blushed furiously. The ride that was supposed to be calmful had the carriage slightly shook along the ride due to them not sitting still. Eijiro gazed over with a yawn.

"So much energy on this early morning...weren't they the ones who fought the most?" The redhead sighed while Denki chuckled.

"Welcome, Shoto and his dragon sidekick!!"

Inasa greeted and instantly approached to give Shoto a massive hug just to be blocked in the way by Katsuki, flipping his middle finger. Some knights gasped at the rudeness and Inasa cracked up.

Kazerashi's crowned prince didn't waste any time by straightly showing their rooms, the large bathing area and etcetera. What caught Katsuki's eyes were the training ground and the prepared weapons. This palace, overall too flashy and so bright that it blinded Katsuki's eyes.

His taste was uhh, indescribable. He considered dragon teeth and axes as wall decorations as homey after all.

The others were quite hyped and excited, trying to touch everything in sight and wandering around like kids' first time on the playground. Shoto didn't seem to faze by their behaviour. Instead, his eyes were planted on the walls and ceiling carvings. So neatly done and peaceful to the eyes, and they seemed to take mother nature as a reference.

Shoto placed his luggage by the closet. He opened it and took out the clothes, folding them to be seated neatly tidily. At one moment he felt muscular arms around his waist and turned to see a pair of beautiful red hues. Shoto simply tittered. "What got you all cute, hm?"

"Shut the fuck up," Katsuki responded. No venom nor anger laced in his words, his raspy voice sounded relaxed. "You've been dragging my ass around on unwanted trips. When will I get to spend my fucking time only with you, all alone?"

"We're alone now. In the bedroom at night too,"

"You know that's not what I fucking meant," he huffed.

"When this is all over, you promised me something didn't you?" Shoto reached for Katsuki's hand and entwined their fingers. Feeling the calloused, massive palm against his own smaller one. "You'll make me. As your omega,"

"As if I'm to forget that,"

"That is if I survive-"

Before Shoto could continue his words, Katsuki cupped Shoto's cheeks hard. His eyes glistened brightly and Shoto thought it was breathtaking. Maybe now wasn't the best time. Especially when his lover looked so pissed.

"You dare to doubt my strength? I can save anyone I want. Including you. I'll do it even if you don't want that," Katsuki grunted.

"Of course I want," Shoto took the hand and leaned his head and nuzzled against it. "I love you too much to lose you,"

"What are you, a cat?" Katsuki snorted. "I don't need you to tell me that. I love myself too,"

Shoto showed an unimpressed look.

"All this while we've been receiving military help from your father, never thought this moment would come," Inasa spoke as he eyed through the lines of his knights. "I'll tell you everything I know about his soldiers. If our ambush plan works well, there will be lesser security. However, we still have to give our best,"

"You don't get help from that buffoon, but you get it from my people," Katsuki interrupted as he walked over. He whistled with his fingers, the sound loudly rang across the bluish sky and suddenly, gushes of strong wind started to hit them.

There were dragons. So many of them in various colours and appearances. Some knights were terrified and some were in awe of the sight. Their first time seeing such massive, astonishing creatures that they live, only lives in fairy tales. 

"Katsuki! We're here for your orders!!" A lady's yelling voice was heard and Katsuki smirked, looking smug at the now, jaw dropped Inasa.

"Unbelievable. Truly majestic. Victory will be ours for sure-" the taller prince gasped out and Shoto kept his eyes on the sky, where the dragons flapping their wings.

"We'll make sure of that,"
