I laid my head down against her shoulder immediately melting into her and closing my eyes as she walked back to the couch. 'You stay?' I asked. 'Sorry, bubba. I have to look at some work stuff with the twins so I'll be doing something if I'm not in here when you wake up, otherwise I'll come back once I finish and be here when you wake up. 'Five minutes?' I added quietly. 'I can do five minutes.' She sat back down next to Ash and stroked my hair as I started to drift off to sleep.

Now: in Lizzie's POV

I stayed leaning back on the couch as I stroked Eva's hair. MK and Ashely had decided to leave the room when I sat back down, hoping it would provide less distractions to getting her to sleep. Although, I knew from the minute I saw her eyes light up at the promise of a nap that there would be no difficulty.

I promised her five minutes but if I'm being honest I didn't want to leave. As much as I needed to work and now figure out this whole paparazzi situation since I'm sue the media will be on my back by the end of the hour, I just wanted to stay here with her. My sweet girl.

My Eva.

After feeling the weight of her small head on my shoulder increase, signaling she had finally drifted off, I shifted her body, ever so gently, so I was now cradling her in my arms. I just studied her features. They were small. In fact everything about her was tiny, but I think that's one of my favorite parts about her.

She's the perfect size. I can carry her when she's tired, when I want to hide her from paparazzi as much as I can, when she's scared or sad, or even when she just needs it or wants to be held. I can protect her simply by wrapping my arms around her because they practically cover her entire body. When we cuddled last night, or early this morning, she fit perfectly against me, like two pieces of a puzzle. Just right.

I noticed how soft her features were . They were subtle. She has this adorable little button nose. Her "baby cheeks" as my mother would call them were still somewhat present despite her noticeably small appetite. Her skin was very soft and smooth, aside from the healing scrapes. Her eyebrows perfectly enhanced the natural shape of her eyes. They weren't crazy full or really bare, they were even. Her cute little smile that rested on her small lips as she slept. Her eyes.

Oh, her eyes. Were absolutely mesmerizing. When they were open, they were these blue green orbs with hints of hazel. I noticed they changed colors depending on what she was wearing. The green shirt from the park complimented the greenness and made them appear that way. The blue pajamas made them turn to light almost icy blue. And today the yellow top she wore cause them to be hazel. The greenness showed and the specks of gold and brown freckles sparkles in the light. They are the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen.

Speaking of beautiful, Eva truly is a beautiful child, inside and out. She has the most gorgeous features, her hair is golden brown, some parts are darker, some areas have blond highlights from the sun, and her personality, as much as she's shown, is incredible. She is sweet, polite, funny, gentle, caring, and so much more. Yes, she definitely has some sort of anxiety and gets scared but who doesn't.

I love that she wants to be near me all the time. And that she needs to be next to me or sure of my presence when she's scared even if she doesn't want to talk about it. And the way she lives holding my hands and swinging them back and forth as we walk. Or how she melts into every hug, every kiss on the forehead, every time I stroke her cheek, every show of affection she adores.

Simply put, I love her.

I continued watching her sleep and noticing how she would curl further into my body every time her sleep seem to lighten a little. I wanted to make sure she was fully out before I moved her off of me. I heard the door open and looked up when I heard footsteps coming near me. It was Ashley. She sat down beside us. 'Hey, everything ok in here. It's been fifteen minutes' she said quietly.
