17. Something broken

    "How are you feel?" I ask Taehyung in a low tone, then I swear myself internally.

   Why I have to be so cringe?

    He smiles at me then takes a sit next to me, on a chair.

     I'm still a little embarrassed because of last night's joke, but I can manage to not be a blushing mess in front of him now. It's just because I'm too tired for this.

     "Yeah, I'm perfectly fine. Thanks to you." he reply then smiles at me, and I have to admit(again)— his boxy smile It's too cute for his attitude— or his past attitude.

     "I'm glad." I say then yawn.

      "You are tired?" he asks and I just shruggle.

      "Last night I couldn't sleep a lot." I admit and he looks at me intently.

      "Because... of me?" he asks at his turn, and I start to play with my fingers.

     Yeah, it's kinda because of him. I was still scared to sleep until his fever disappeared, so I had to pretend that I slept, until Taehyung got to sleep again. Then I stayed at his bed on a chair, watching over him. Maybe sounds creepy but yeah, I wasn't able to help. I mean... He was sick, so how could I slept peacefully in that time?

      "Ăăm... No. I just... Couldn't sleep." I lie then I glance at the floor— an annoying habit of mine when I lie.

     He doesn't need to know that I couldn't sleep because of him. He will misunderstand everything. Like he did last night.

     "Sure?" he asks and I gulp hardly— I can tell he doesn't believe me.

     "Yeah." I simply answer then I look at him. .

     His glance it's already on me, and I give my best to not blush again. Yes, we are friends now— at least, I consider him as my friend— but I still feel sometimes shy towards him.

     The reason? Unknown.
     The feeling? Weird.

    "Then you should sleep today. You can skip the classes for a day. It's not a big deal." he tells and I frown immediately.

     Skip the classes? My parents will be angry as fuck. I can't do this.
    
     "No, I'm... I'm fine." I say then I look at my phone. "I have to go now." I say after then I get up from the chair.

     "At least eat something. You know, banana milk doesn't count as a food." he says then gets up at his turn from the chair.

      "I—"

      "Come on, we can go together. My classes starts faster today." he intervenes but then he steps right in front of me, blocking my way.

      I glance at him confused, but he just smiles.

      "Ăăm... Can you please let me go?" I ask in a tiny voice, and he nods.

     "Before that, can you please check if my fever it's gone?" he asks at his turn and I raise my left eyebrow.

      "I already know that your fever it's gone. Last night you—" I stop instantly then I bit my lower lip.
