We arrived at home and I started looking around. It was a pretty small place, only one story, but that was all we needed since there were only the two of us. "Hey mom," I started, "Can I pick out my room please?" "Yeah sure pick whichever one you want." So with that I started exploring the house. I started down the small hallway that had four rooms. I looked around and saw a medium sized room with a seat by the window. I've always wanted a room that looked like this, so I guess that was one good thing about moving to Tulsa. There was also a small book shelf right next to it. "Perfect," I whispered to myself. I love reading so this would be the perfect place to put all my books. Beside the window seat was a chair that had matching pillows with the seat by the window. There was a door on the left wall of the room that led to the a bathroom, but you could also access the bathroom from outside. "I found the room I want," I shouted to my mom from the room. "Okay," was all she responded with.
(This is what the room looks like)
I headed to the front of the house and grabbed all the bags I could. I had to make a couple trips, but I ended up with all my belongings inside my room. I started unpacking my clothes and hangers first, putting my clothes on the hangers and putting them in the closet and the dressers. The original house-owners left some furniture like dressers and beds, so we sold our old ones to make some extra money. I unpacked the rest of my things, like my Queen II, Hunky Dory, and 52nd Street albums along with my record player. (I know the outsiders is in the 60's but I'm going to do more 80's style like the movie) I also unpacked my books To Kill A Mockingbird and The Great Gatsby and set them out on my bedside table to read later. I unpacked my other books and saw one that I didn't even know I had. 'Gone With The Wind.' Maybe I'll read that after I finish my other books. Right now I'm focusing on taking a nap.
About two hours later I woke up really energized. It was now close to seven o clock so I was hungry. I went to the kitchen to see if we had anything to eat when I saw my mom drinking some tea. "Hey mom do we have anything to eat here?", I asked. "No", she started, "But I think I saw a Dairy Queen on the way up here. You can go for a walk and get it if you want." I needed to burn some energy so I could sleep tonight, so I said okay.
I changed into a white cropped tank top and some bell bottom jeans with some gold necklaces and rings. I grab my glasses from my bedside table, slip on my shoes, and step outside. Immediately I noticed how much colder it was here. 'It's only just starting to be winter. Why is it so cold?' I thought. I sighed and grabbed my light blue hoodie. I guess this is something I'm going to have to get used to.
(the outfit ps. i know its really bad and not even something they would wear in the Outsiders but oh well this is the only thing I could make that looked good)
I started the walk to the Dairy Queen which took a while since I didn't know where I was going. I eventually got there and order a burger with fries and a coke, and an oreo blizzard. I knew my food was going to get cold by the time I got home, so I started eating it while walking. I finish all my food right before I get home. I walk in and throw away my food in the trashcan. I go back to my room and turn my lamp by the window on. I grab To Kill A Mocking Bird and start playing 52nd Street by Billy Joel. I almost finish my book right before I fall asleep.
AN: Hey gurlies sorry if there are any typos but im in a really artistic mood today and I just drew a whole poster so I'm gonna get a bunch of chapters done today while I still feel like it.
