"what we did that night... was it more than just a drunk thing or?" mingi asked slowly. he was testing the water really. because to him, that night was special. but maybe to seojin, it might've been a mistake.

"...i'm- i don't think it was. having that i remember it so clearly" the older shook his head slightly, staring down at his hands. "the thing about any drunk one night stand i've had, i don't remember them. and if i somehow do, i try not to."

mingi wasn't sure what to say. he wasn't sure where exactly this was going "do you try not to when you think about it?"

seojin shook his head "no, i just... let it play out i guess" he let out a dry chuckle.

"would you, wanna try to-"

"date?" seojin finished the sentence for mingi. though, he was hoping that the taller wouldn't nod, which he did. "i don't think we should"

mingi lifted his head, showing off a confused look "w-what. why not?"

"because- i'm a college student. you're still a junior in highschool"

"okay and? you're a year older than me" mingi laughed in disbelief.

"i know that, mingi"

"is it because you don't like me? you don't have to like me back i know i'm kind of pushing this on you but i really lik-"

"please don't say that" seojin interrupted, still looking down and refusing to meet mingi's eyes.

"what? that i like you?"

seojin sighed "yes, that" he said as he stood up and walked into the kitchen. mingi followed.

"i can't stand here and say i don't like you, seojin"

"why can't you?" seojin placed his hands on the counter, staring down at his feet. tears threatening to escape

"because i don't believe in lying" mingi let out a sad chuckle

the older finally looked at mingi, tears in his eyes. "i usually don't believe in lying either" he cried

the taller slowly moved closer to him and wiped the tears away. "then don't lie"

"there's so much i want to tell you, b-but i'm just- i'm not ready yet" seojin continued crying as mingi brought him into a comforting hug

"i'm not gonna force you to tell me anything. you tell me when you're ready" the younger whispered.

after some soft sobbing and sniffling, seojin pulled away slightly. he wiped his tears with his sleeve and just stayed in mingis arms.

"you're making this harder for me"

"all I'm gonna say is, whatever your decision is. i want it to be your decision. not based off of what other people will think" the taller whispered, looking into seojin's deep brown eyes.

that's when the older started leaning in, soon connected their lips. it was passionate, but hungry and slightly messy. they really shouldn't be doing this. but they don't really care.
