"we're gonna go pick the kids up, we'll be back in a few to help you get out of here" hongjoong smiled as him and seonghwa stood up from their chairs

"okay" yeosang smiled back and waved to them as they left the room. junho sat there on his phone, he looked exhausted, everyone did. yeosang included.

"just us again" hyunjin sing-singed when him and tay walked in with milkshakes.

yeji rolled her eyes and chuckled as hyunjin danced around and handed everyone their drinks. tay sighed and sat next to the girl. she fell asleep in like two minutes, which would be concerning for any other human except her.

"why are you so cheerful" yunho groaned

"why are you a grump" hyunjin shot back. the taller shrugged and turned back to his phone "i'm just happy yeosang's going home"

"tired of hospitals?" junho chuckled

"god yes" the younger sighed. yeosang snickered and drank his milkshake.

"kyungmi bought you a hat? she must love you" hyunjin laughed at junho before sitting next him

"i'm here favorite" the older said with a cocky grin

"no i am" yeji said nonchalantly while continuing ceiling through her phone

"she's right" yunho nodded

"i'm here favorite boy then" junho said

"that's jeongin" yeosang corrected, laughing at his boyfriends pout.

tay was still fast asleep an hour later, and now yeji and junho were too. the oldest was in the small hospital bed with yeosang, and yeji was curled in a small ball on her chair.

the remaining boys played on their phones and sat in silence until a nurse knocked on the door.

"come in" yeosang called, the knock woke everyone up but no one moved.

"how are you feeling?" the older nurse asked as she smiled at the group

"i'm okay"

"better than yesterday, that's good" everyone nodded "someone named renjun is here to see you"

all eyes were on yeosang now. yeji, tay, and hyunjin looked at him sadly. while his brother and boyfriend both looked at him confused.

"o-oh. uhm, can you tell him to wait a moment?" now he was receiving looks of confusion and shock.

"yep, just have someone go out and tell him when you're ready" the nurse smiled once more and left the room, closing the door behind her.

"why is he here?" yunho asked immediately

"how am i supposed to know?"

"you're going to talk to him?" tay asked

"...i might as well" yeosang shrugged junho looked at him with an unreadable look. he didn't seem mad, he seemed more upset or concerned. "he clearly has something to say, so i'll just let him say what he needs to and then he can be out of my life again"
