yunho and yeji still weren't on the greatest terms. even after the other night when they thought they had made up for good about the entire subject, they still keep arguing. it's not even about the distancing thing, or what yeji had said that night anymore. it's about random and useless bullshit. it was almost worrisome to everyone that knew they were fighting, including themselves.

junho and yeosang knew about the fighting from the beginning, so did tay and hyunjin. but recently seonghwa and hongjoong had found out too when yunho called them in the middle of a break down. he had explained everything. every detail, every bad thing they both did. it's sad news to hear, the two of them have been a thing since middle school. and obviously things change, and so do people, but things seemed to be going so well for the two of them.

the parents still have hope though, they have had their fair share of arguments, the same ones that lasted sometimes months at some points. it's just something that happens when you're with someone 24/7. there's a certain point where you need a break, but it's too hard for yeji and yunho to see that because they have never really been away from each other like that before.

"have you thought about taking a break, yun?" hongjoong asked from the speaker of yunho's iphone. this is the third time this week that he has called them. he didn't want to bother them, but he couldn't worry any of his brothers, and hyunjin was busy.

hongjoong didn't want to suggest a break, because he knows how scary they are. he and seonghwa have had them before, they usually lasted two weeks at the most because they simply couldn't handle the time away from each other. but that how you know it's all real, that how you know that the 'break' actually works

"what do you mean" yunho sniffled and ran his hand through his hair.

"a break, like time away from a each other" seonghwa spoke softly

"a few weeks away from each other, little to no contact" the shorter dad explained a little more

"no"

"no you haven't thought about it, or no you don't wanna do it?" hongjoong asked again

"both"

"sweetie, i know it seems scary. but pa and i have done it before. it really helps, i promise. it gives you time to focus on what you need to do and to think" seonghwa knew that even in marriages you needed time away from on another. yunho and yeji don't really get that, they go to school together, their classes are almost the same, they live together, go to dance together.

"i'll think about it" the dancer said. they talked a little more before hanging up, it was pretty late and the parents both had some stuff to do the next day. yunho walked back into the apartment from the balcony. he walked upstairs, going into his and yeji's room, seeing the girl already asleep with tears stains coloring her cheeks.

he changed out of his clothes into just a pair of sweats before turning the closet light off. he wasn't sure if her should sleep in bed or the couch. the argument wasn't resolved yet. he stood their thinking for a little while, just looking back and forth between the door and yeji.

"it's your bed too" she whispered, he could've sworn her eyes were closed, but then again the only light source in the room was the moon and she was faced away from it. yunho nodded but didn't move. she sat up and turned the lamp on the night stand on "do you want me to sleep on the couch?"
