Sunwoo finally gathered up all his remaining energy and limped home, his leg most likely broken when they had stomped on his body, like a can.
He walked past the bridge, the water seeming more shallow but just as loud as before as he walked past.
He wanted to throw himself into the water, hold his memories to his chest feeling happy.
He finally walked into his house, not expecting to see his mother in the living room, watching television.
She glanced at the door and stood up in horror at her blooded son.
She pulled him to the kitchen and began to clean his face up, making sure every cut was sanitised.
She would glance at her son's eyes, they were glazed over, most likely from tears that he never let free, he would just watch the same spot on the wall.
Stuck in a daze he couldn't get out of, he had no expression, it seemed unmoving- unlike the boy she knew who always had a smile on his face. Even when his father died.
"Mama." His voice began, it was broken and cracked saying the two syllables, he was deprived of water but he could care less at the moment, he just wanted to stop the tears from leaking out of his eyes.
"Why does no one love me?" He asked, his mother shaking her head as he continued to ask the same question repeatedly.
The more he asked, the more historical he became, and the more the tears cascaded down his face, running down his neck.
His gaze finally left the wall and looked towards his mother, waiting for her reaction, but she only gave silence. She got up and packed away the first aid kit.
"I'm gay." Sunwoo announced, finally telling his mother of the news that was rapidly spreading around the town.
"I know." His mother smiled, walking out of the kitchen and out of the house, getting in her car and driving away, she left her son to suffer alone.
Sitting in a cold puddle of tears he stood up, needing to get moved to his room.
He stumbled through and sat on his bed, staring at everything with a new anger that built up in his stomach.
He wanted to pull his hair out in frustration, he didn't want to feel this.
Sunwoo had written a short note and walked out of the house, the note stuck in his hand.
He limped towards the bridge, standing and watching the water crash down the course.
He placed the note down on the floor and placed down a rock to make it stay in place.
His tears merged with the saltwater beneath him, his tears just as salty as the water.
He climbed over the fence and stood on the edge gazing down at the water.
