Approved. It was the word that caused me to stop and stare. I had to blink multiple times just to make sure that I wasn't hallucinating. That my desperate prayers weren't playing a trick on my eyes. 

Sure enough, no matter how many times I blinked or rubbed my eyes, the word was still there.

Approved.

"Seokjin-ah." My voice came out quite as I was still processing what I was reading and that this was actually happening. "Seokjin-ah," I called out a little louder.

"Aish." I could hear the frustration in his sigh. "How many times do I have to tell you? Just because you were born in January does- what's wrong?"

At his worried tone, I looked up and met his eye. It was then that I realized that tears were falling from my eyes. He quickly made his way over to me.

"It's approved," my voice shook as I handed him the piece of paper. He took it with a look of confusion as if he didn't understand what I was talking about. I wiped the tears from my eyes with the sleeve of my shirt. "It's approved!" I exclaimed. A big smile appeared on my face, which probably made me look completely crazy.

"No."

That was the one word that fell from his lips as he hurriedly read over the documentation that I handed to him. As soon as his eyes finished skimming over the entire paper, he looked up at me with a smile that was growing bigger and bigger with every passing second.

"We did it!" He exclaimed as he tackled me into a hug and soon lifted me up. With me, in his arms, he spun around causing me to giggle. "We did it!"

Without warning, he kissed me. It took me off-guard but it didn't take long before the kiss became more and more passionate.

As if we had planned it, both of us pulled away from the kiss to breathe. He leaned forward, connecting his forehead with mine. I slowly opened my eyes only to see Seokjin look at me with so much love that I felt my heart beating ridiculously fast.

I closed my eyes as our lips were being pulled together like magnets. As my lips ghosted over his, my phone began to ring. I pulled away causing Seokjin to let out a whine of protest. I couldn't help but giggled before I answered the phone.

"Y/N-ah!" I heard my father's excited voice that came through the phone very loudly, causing me to slightly wince as I pulled the phone away from my ear. "Did you get the news?! It was approved! We're going to have a meeting in about an hour. So make sure you and Seokjin get to the centre right away! It's important, I expect both of you to be here!"

Before I could even utter a word, he hung up the phone.

Seokjin and I exchanged looks, then quickly burst out into laughter. Even if the phone wasn't on speaker, I knew Seokjin heard every single word my father said.

"Come on then," Seokjin said as he gave me one last peck on the lips. "We don't want to keep your father waiting."

"You mean, you don't want to keep my father waiting," I teased my fiancee.

"Most definitely," Seokjin agreed as he grabbed my hand. "Let's go before I give him an actual reason to hate me."

"Seokjin," I laughed, "my dad doesn't hate you."

"Of course he does," Seokjin replied with a smirk. "I took his lovely daughter away from him."

I could immediately feel the blush creeping up on my face. "You're unbelieveable."

"You love me for that," he said with a wink.

"One day, I'm going to knock that smirk off your face," I said playfully.

"You love my face too much to do that," Seokjin teased as he tapped my nose.

"Whatever," I rolled my eyes with a smile playing on my face. "Let's go, or my dad might kill me too."

Seokjin chuckled as we walked out of our shared house together.

The ride to Hybe Hybrid Rescue Centre was smooth. Seokjin and I lived in the middle of Seoul while Hybe was located in the outskirts of Seoul. The most important thing for my father as he created Hybe was the location where hybrids we recused would have enough space to roam around even in their animal form.

When we got to the centre, it was slowly getting darker. Hybe, however, was bright with activity. It was always open, 24/7.

Seokjin and I both worked at Hybe. I worked as a doctor for both hybrids and humans while Seokjin worked as the rescue leader.

"I'll see you soon, I just want to see if all the hybrids in the clinic are doing well," I informed Seokjin as soon as he parked.

"Alright, make sure you come to the office quickly. As much as I love your father, I'd much rather have you there with me," Seokjin said before giving me a farewell kiss.

"I'll be there soon to rescue you," I giggled as I waved goodbye.

I headed to the first floor where the medical department was located. 

Hybe Hybrid Rescue Centre was a very big building with many different departments. The first two floors of the building were the clinic. We have many different units within the medical department. We have the physical health unit that works as a normal walk-in clinic for humans and hybrids, a mental health unit for the rescued hybrids, as well as a rehabilitation unit for humans and hybrids to slowly ease their way back into society after being discharged from our physical health unit. 

I'm in charge of the physical health unit alongside Choi Seungchul (a wolf hybrid). My brother-in-law, Hwang Hyungjin (a ferret hybrid) was in charge of the mental health unit along with Kim Jisoo. Lim Seulong and Yoo Jeonghyun (a poodle hybrid) were in charge of the rehabilitation unit.

Hybe seemed to be a lot more full of excitement than normal. It seemed as if the news about the raid approval had made its round among all the workers. Everyone was bustling about with a very big grin on their faces.

It had been a long time coming. That's all I could say. We worked on getting a search warrant on the AS Company run by Nana. She was very famous and very well-known as the most vocal businesswoman to be against the rights and freedom of hybrids, claiming that they were stealing the jobs of normal humans and that hybrids were once created to be used as housekeepers or butlers. In other words, slaves.

It was long rumoured that she holds a hybrid fighting ring every second Saturday of each month. Not only that, it's widely known that she has a hybrid sex ring as well. It's under the guise of a legal brothel, but there are many rumours regarding that as well.

Hybe had been working very hard to get enough circumstantial evidence to raid the main building of the AS Company.

6 months, to be exact. I shudder to think how many hybrids we failed to rescue due to the delay.

But the approval we got this afternoon was enough. It meant that we were going to get all our men and resources ready to raid the building in two weeks time and rescue all the hybrids that are there illegally as well as arrest her on charges against hybrids. My cousin, Jessica Ho, would be very happy as she hates Nana.

Only two more weeks. Two more weeks and all our hard work would have paid off.
