"I'm gonna puke." Terra squirmed beside me in her dress as my makeup was being perfectly applied.

"I'm the one that's supposed to be nervous." I replied carefully as to not mess up the work being done on my face.

"Yeah well you didn't drink as much as I did last night." She mumbled just loud enough for me to hear.  I smiled over at my friend as the kind lady stepped away from me to switch brushes.

"Just don't get puke on your dress please." I told her with one eyebrow raised.

"How are you so calm? Shouldn't you be panicking about tiny, insignificant things and biting peoples heads off for no reason?" Terra asked, clearly annoyed that I wasn't suffering anywhere near as much as she was in this moment.

"Why would I want to do that? Everything is taken care of thanks to you and Kayla." I reply.

"Don't forget the guys either. They did the heavy lifting." Terra said as she cracked a smile.

"Ah, yes, the three stooges." I sighed with a small laugh.

Sebastian, Chris, and Anthony had helped set up tables and carried any heavy boxes. They had all been extremely helpful last night during our practice run of the wedding. Despite the many beers that were consumed by the three, we actually got through the rehearsal pretty quickly.

The boys went out for a fast bachelor party after Kayla kicked them out of the venue. Leaving myself and Terra to try to help her set up. Of course, there was staff that tried to help from the venue, but we all learned very quickly that Kayla had a vision that would not be messed with.

So, we did very small things, like place silverware perfectly beside plates on tables, while Kayla arranged flowers and placed the pictures I had brought of Sebastian, Aurelia and I.

Aurelia and Jayla buzzed with excitement as the sat in the corner, playing with the bucket of toys Kayla had been smart enough to bring.

She really had made this whole process extremely easy.

My family had been flown in to be with me, and I didn't have to worry about a single detail thanks to the evil genius that was getting herself in her dress. Kayla has been a blessing in my life and she has pulled off the impossible.

"Okay, we have an hour before this show starts. Let's get you in your dress." Kayla says, a smile growing across her face as all the other girls in the room giggled with excitement.

"Momma you're going to be so pretty!" Aurelia beamed as Kayla and Terra unzipped the garment bag and revealed my dress.

My breath was taken as soon as I saw it. The delicate lace, the sleeves, the subtle sparkles that made the dress look like a dazzling star all left me feeling like I was floating.

"Oh, wait. I'll be right back." Kayla said before running out of the room in her dusty blue dress.

She returned a few minutes later with a familiar person in tow.

"Momma!" I smiled.

"Look at you!" My mom smiled as she practically floated across the room to envelop me in a hug.

"I missed you." I said quietly as I felt tears prick my eyes.

"It's only been a few days." She laughed. "But , I missed you too."

She quickly swiped away the tear that managed to escape.

"Don't ruin that beautiful makeup. It's a happy day!" She tried to sound chipper, but I noticed the same sadness in her eyes that I saw the day I married Nathan.
