Twelve

"You and Chris want to come over later?" I ask Tara. I missed her so much while I was home.

"Obviously." She giggles and I hear Chris say something on the other end of the phone.

"Oh God. Are you two naked?" I ask, faking disgust. I'm really happy they are together. They are truly great for each other and with the new couple, some of the heat is off Sebastian and I.

"Wouldn't you like to know." Tara laughs before hanging up.

I laugh a bit as I set my phone down on the counter. I'm in my own apartment for once. Sebastian and Aurelia went out for a father-daughter date and I decided to come tidy up a few things. I don't know why we still have this apartment. I stay with Sebastian and Aurelia, most of my clothes are there, and I honestly never want to be over here. It's not that I don't enjoy the apartment. It has a beautiful view of the city, but I would much rather stare at Sebastian all day.

Maybe we should let it go.

I quickly finish up and head back over to Sebastian's.

After our talk the other day, I feel a lot lighter. Knowing that Alexia won't be a problem in our relationship anymore is honestly a huge relief. Now, we need to focus on finding someone for Aurelia and Sebastian to talk to. I couldn't believe how his first therapy session had gone. I never would have thought that someone who is supposed to be a professional could act in such an unprofessional way. The way Sebastian handled the situation was actually flawless in my opinion. A lot of "men" I knew would have been drooling at the mouth if their therapist had done that.

I'm just happy knowing Sebastian is 100% the man I always thought he was.

Speaking of, I can hear a certain little girl giggling in the hallway.

The front door swings open and Aurelia runs into the living room with what looks to be a new stuffed animal.

"Look, Mimi! Daddy got me a new elephant!" She says excitedly, holding out the little gray elephant.

"How cute!" I laugh and look up to see Sebastian holding a beautiful bundle of flowers.

"Happy late Valentines, babe." He smiles before leaning down to kiss me quickly.

"You didn't have to do that." I smile as he hands me the flowers.

"Well, I felt bad that we spent our first Valentines Day on a plane." Sebastian smiles as Aurelia takes off toward her room with her toy.

"Well that wasn't all we did." I sigh happily as I get off the couch to find something to put the flowers in.

"I know, but I still wanted to get you something." He laughs.

"Well, thank you." I smile as I fill a vase with water and set the flowers in it.

"There is something else I wanted to talk to you about." Sebastian says, sounding a bit nervous.

"Okay..." I turn to look at him and he is nervously fidgeting with his hands. "What's going on?"

"Well, Aurelia and I had a talk today and," Sebastian looks down at the floor before clearing his throat and looking back up up to me, " I want to give you partial custody of Aurelia."

I almost drop the flower vase.

"What?"

"I know, it's crazy. I just feel like if anything was to happen to me, you would be the best person to take Aurelia. Plus, she already looks at you like you are her mom." Sebastian says quickly.

"Sebastian, I- I don't know what to say." I stammer, my heart beating out of my chest.

"You don't have to say anything right now. If you need to think about it, I understand. I know its a lot." He sighs, looking back down at the floor.
