eight girls (Hogwarts life) ( short stories )

Iris Tate John , third year

3rd year

Again butler Jones dropped me off like always ,I claimed on the train in search of an empty compartment to my luck there was one but not for long some first years opened the door and asked if it was okay to sit in here I said "yes " with a smile and nodded , I also helped them put their bags on the shelf above the seats. it was two girls. One looking like she was from an Indian asian background with long wavy brown hair and the other girl from an Japanese asian background. They sat opposite me both giggling they introduced themselves the brown haired one went first "I am Aditi Patel , and this is my best friend ." the other one piped up "Ichika Gushiken." Aditi continued " we are both first years , what year are you in ? oh and house?" Ichika added "and your name please . if you don't mind that is." I smiled and laughed "I am Iris John , I am in my 3rd year at Hogwarts and I am in Slytherin." the girls faced dropped when I mentioned my house but quickly brushed it off with asking me hundreds of questions and I gave them answers and some advice. I found out Aditi wanted to be in Gryffindor and Ichika wanted to be in the same one as her best friend ,  though I am getting some stronge Gryffindor vides from Aditi and some Hufflepuff ones from Ichika. I guided them off the train and to the boats and told then that it will be alright. Aditi said "you're not like how I thought slytherin's will be,  you're nice."- "you can't say that Aditi! that's rude and disrespectful" Ichika piped up. Aiditi said "sorry" and hung her head. I laughed at them both gave them a quick huge and said to them "good luck." I walked off smiling to my self. I was right Aditi got into Gryffindor and Ichika in Hufflepuff. I saw them around the courtyard as I was sat on the edge go the fountain and smiled and waved at them which they did the same back to me, I was happy for them that despite being in different houses unlike how they planned they still were close friends , me eyes came across a certain Slytherin and my mind wondered into my famous habit of daydreaming about how when we were that close and inseparable it made me question what happened ? to make it go this way, I guess I will never get the answers I am looking for and do I even want them ? we got a new defence against the dark arts teacher professor Lupin I liked him he was better than the over two we've had. In one lesson we had to face out boggart  and we had to use a charm Riddikulus to make our boggart amusing and less scary. when it came to my turn the boggart turned into my father and cast the charm and made him become what he hate most a muggle and a very kind one , one with no power and people walked over . It made me happy inside to see him like this but a little bit of me was disgusted that it makes me happy. 
But not much really happened in my year like always it all happened for Harry and his group, but the twins and I did pull an amazing prank though. And like all the other years I spent Christmas at Hogwarts. But this year was different as both Aditi and Ichika staid at Hogwarts for Christmas as Aditi family was busy and they didn't really make a big deal out of Christmas and wanted Aditi to stay to work on her studies , where Ichika's family was over in Japan as they have only sent her here for school. But all three of use talked , walked , spent time , laughed and played games together. Aditi came up with the idea of all of us opening our gifts together we just needed a place she recommend the Gryffindor common room but Ichika reminded her that we are not allowed to so I said about the owlery. All agreed on Christmas Day after Christmas dinner we all headed to the owlery, once we had all got out gift bags off our owls we started opining Aditi got a scarf ,some school books and socks , Ichika got a hat and gloves , a coat and some drawing equipment. I got a knitted blanket off mrs Grayson , a silver head band off butler Jones , some lip sticks and gloss off miss White . But I couldn't find anything off my parents I just had a card I frowned than brushed it off and we started to head back to our rooms. As I reached my room I saw a gift left on my bed , it was covered in dark green wrapping paper and when I got closer I saw it had a little folded piece of paper on it which read "merry Christmas , snowy . ps hope you like the gift." I was confused over who it was by , but I wanted to know what gift they got me so I let curiosity get the better of me and opened it to find  a big charcoal not knitted jumper that had  my family crest embroiled on the left side in silver and a big one the back . I immediately put it on and the sleeves hid my hands and the bottom of it was nearly half way on my thighs. I walked over to a mirror and looked at myself wondering who it could be off.  ,  , , ,
