Jongho groaned and threw his head to the back, his lower body feeling relieved yet as if it wasn't even there. It felt so good to just lay there on the spot and relax.
He had been training hard for the football competition that was to take place the following month and his legs were giving out on him. The amount of time he had been running was astronomical and the practices were intense.
He wanted to pass out but he held strong and kept going. He was determined to be one of the best players on his team.
"Choi! This is no time to be resting!" His Coach barked, "Do you want to play this season or not?! I'm sure you do, so get your ass here and act like it!"
Jongho sighed before picking himself up from the ground and heading onto the field to continue running while pulling tires. His only motivation during the entire process was to practice hard enough so time would go by and he would get to call Yeosang.
He had started calling the older every other day and he liked that part of his routine the best. He had been very happy to find out that Yeosang had passed his test and the male had even shed a tear and profusely thanked the younger. He had been crying in joy so much that Jongho didn’t have the guts to tell the male it was his birthday that day but he didn’t care. His birthday present was seeing Yeosang happy and that’s all he needed.
And even though their calls were all through the screen, Yeosang still had to take a break and look somewhere else every now and then before he passed out on the call. If that had happened, Jongho wouldn't have known who to call and so he hoped that it would never come to the point that Yeosang would pass out while they chatted.
Jongho practiced hard and before he knew it, it was time to head back to his dorm so he could take a shower and call Yeosang before heading to sleep. He was glad his practice time began at a time where he could do homework prior before going into ruthless training. It gave him much more motivation for everything that way and he was glad.
The reason Jongho was practicing so hard was for the sole reason that his school was going up against Yeosang's school. He doubted the older male even knew anything about sports so he never mentioned it.
The main reason for practicing was that if Jongho managed to do well in the game, Yeosang would most likely hear about it and he would feel pride to know that he had been recognized by the elder even if it was just a little bit.
"Alright! You hooligans look like you're about to drop!" the coach yelled, catching everyone's attention. "You can go back to be sure to come to practice tomorrow!"
Everyone nodded and scrambled off without another word, only groaning once they were far enough.
Most of the guys stayed to complain or chat with each other but not Jongho, he had much more important business and that was to talk to the older male.
"Hey! Jongho! Wanna get a drink together?" one of the players, he recalled his name was Yeonjun, asked.
"No thanks. I have something to do. Maybe next time?"
Not waiting for an answer, Jongho used his last remaining energy to run to his dorm room and take a rapid shower. He ignored the smirk Seonghwa had on his face when he entered and in minutes, he was seated on his soft bed calling the older.
"Hi," Yeosang answered, his eyes half-closed and head drooping.
"Oh my, you should sleep," Jongho said with concern. "We can call another time. Just sleep okay? Maybe tomorrow."
Yeosang dumbly nodded and before he could even hit the end button, his eyes closed and Jongho sat staring at the older a little longer, examining his pretty features.
