The Unexpected ( Nick Jonas love story)

Chapter 6

I guess I have some time to spare until Nick is on the 'Jimmy Fallon' show.  I need to call Marie. I haven't talked to her in a long time. She has been so busy touring and I have been busy with meetings and now my accident. We have just been so busy lately. I grabbed my new phone and dialed Marie's number. Before I could even say hello Marie yelled "Gabby! Oh my gosh! Are you okay? What's the doctor said? How's Nick?" I giggled, "You sound like the paparazzi, but I'm good, Nick's good. The doctor said I will be fine... How are you?" Marie said "I'm glad you are doing well. I'm having so much fun and I met a lot of new people. Miley is great and very nice which you know that whole story..." As she went on, I laid back slowly on the couch. We talked for hours on the phone, catching up on our little lives. Her touring experience is probably the coolest thing ever. Marie gave me the details on how everything back stage works which was so cool. Also, she told me about Austin and how they are doing. He showed up to one of the concerts she was performing in and gave her flowers. Isn't that so sweet?  They are literally so perfect together! Marie then said "Enough about me! How are you and Nick doing?" I replied "We are doing great actually! When he came to visit me we talked and cuddled and... kissed. It was such a stress reliever." Marie 'ooo'ed and 'ah'ed. We both burst out laughing.  Marie then explained to me that she had to go into hair and makeup. I quickly said bye and good luck and then hung up the phone.

When I looked at the time it was already 6:30 PM. Nick will be on the show in thirty minutes. I walked slowly to the bathroom and hopped in the shower. After my shower I dried up and threw on some comfy sweats and a tank top. I went to the kitchen, grabbed some popcorn and then went to the couch. I turned on the T.V. as fast as I could. I finally got to the right channel and the show started. I laughed at all the tweets Jimmy read and all the jokes. Jimmy was a hilarious guy. The next thing I know, Jimmy Fallon is shaking Nick's hand and they sit down on the plush red chairs. Nick was dashing. Cheesy, I know, but he was. Jimmy asked him a lot of questions about his show 'Kingdom', then started asking questions about the 'Chains' videos. Jimmy suddenly asked "So who is the girl in the video with you?" Oh no... he's going to try to talk about me. I watched Nick's expression turn serious as he said "Her name is Gabby. She is very talented." Jimmy looked very interested and started asking more questions about me. This was Nick's moment and now it's turning all about me. Nick dodge as many questions as he could until Jimmy asked " So, tell us about your accident. I understood from several different news channels that it was pretty bad." The room was quiet. Too quiet. It was like they knew that Jimmy would ask Nick that. Nick's eyes widened "Well... it... it was pretty bad. I was driving and the other car T-boned us on the right side of the car and we all spun out. I was hurt, the people in the other car were hurt but everyone is okay." Jimmy quickly added "What about Gabby? She was in the car too, right?" Nick looked straight into the camera and quickly back at Jimmy. "Yeah. She was with me in the car." Jimmy asked "And what happened to her?" Jimmy was really pulling teeth. Why did he want to know all of this? I shivered thinking about how many people were watching this right now. They all will know what happened to me and Nick. This was crazy. Nick sighed and said "Gabby was... hurt pretty bad. She had a broken arm, damage to the head which gave her a concussion for two weeks, and internal bleeding...BUT, she is alright now and home." After a moment Jimmy said "Well here is an idea let's call her and see how she is. You have her number right?" Nick worried said "Yeah. I do."  Jimmy gave the number to his director to put the call on the speaker. Were they really going to call me? What do I say? I don't know what to do! I saw Nick text someone on his phone and then looked up at the camera. My phone buzzed. I quickly typed in my pass code and looked at the text. It was from Nick. It said:

I know. I know. This is crazy, but you can do this. Don't be nervous. Just be the amazing person you are. I love you. Good luck.

Suddenly, my phone exits the text and asked if I wanted to answer the unknown caller. I knew it was Jimmy because they were all patiently waiting for me to answer. I clicked 'answer' and quietly said "Hello".  Jimmy stared into the camera knowing that I was watching "Hey! Gabby this is Jimmy from the Jimmy Fallon show and I am here with Nick Jonas. We just wanted to talk to you about your accident if that's okay with you?"  With all my strength I said "Sure Jimmy. What do you want to know?" Jimmy cleared his throat, "Well I just want to know how you are recovering and all? How did you feel when you woke up from your two week concussion?" I started "Okay... haha. My recovery has been rough, but as of right now I'm great. Thanks for asking!" Jimmy said "That's good to hear! So are you and Nick dating by any chance?" Nick and I both started laughing. We both knew that we haven't gave out a statement yet. I waited for Nick to say something. Nick knew that was his opportunity to jump in and try to settle this. Nick said "If you want that answer Jimmy then you might as well invite both of us to the show." Jimmy and I both laughed. The crowd was excited. Jimmy then said "Alright then! I will be in touch! Ladies and gentleman, Nick Jonas and Gabby. That's all the time we have for today! Thanks for watching and goodnight!" The crowds cheered as the show then cut to commercial. I hung up and sat in deep thought. Will I really be contacted to be on the show? Will we tell Jimmy we are together? An hour went by before I went to bed.
