Chapter 38

As Tessa and I waited backstage for the show to end, I heard "This will not be the end! And you know it Gabby!" Zac was screaming at the top of his lungs. Why on Earth is he so obsessed with me? It's like I can never get away from him and be happy.

Nick said his goodbyes and ran off stage. Once he came off he saw Zac being taken away. He questioned "What happened? How did Zac get here?" I just broke down. He held me in a tight hug while the paparazzi started circling us with questions and cameras. Nick took Tessa and I to his dressing room where I could explain what happened without the while world knowing about it. Nick sat concerned while I just stayed quiet. After a moment, Tessa left the room. It was just Nick and I.

He started "Why didn't you tell me he was here? I could of protected you." I nodded my head 'no'. I then replied "Nick you couldn't have done anything. You were hosting and I wanted to tell you, but then you would have gone insane trying to keep your cool during the show." He sighed. "I didn't know what else to do Nick... I was scared." His eyes looked up at me. God his eyes are amazing. He stood up and held me tight asking "Are you okay?" I started to sob again. It's overwhelming to know that Zac can get me whenever he wants.

After we both pulled ourselves together, we called security to help us out of his dressing room. The hallway was filled with reporters and cameras all trying to figure out what happened. We waited about 30 minutes until the hallway was cleared by security so we could go to the after party.

At the after party Joe, Kevin, and Tessa found us. Joe asked "Hey. Are you okay?" I nodded and walked to the bar. I'm not usually a drinker but I needed to get this stupid situation off my mind. I took a shot of whatever the bar tender gave me and asked for another... and another... and another...

NICK POV

Gabby walked to the bar and I followed. I just can't believe Zac was here trying to hurt her again. While she talked to the others, she did not look like she wanted to be here. I don't blame her. She walked quickly towards the bar and started to take shots. When I finally reached her, she was on her tenth shot. I told the bar tender to stop serving her and tried to take her away from that area. She was drunk... Gabby could hardly walk. She stumbled around everywhere, knocking people or things over. I yelled for Joe to come and help me. He was confused but quickly grabbed the other side of Gabby and helped me get her into the car. Joe stopped me "You're a good boyfriend..." I nodded and got into the car, I looked at Joe "Thanks for the help!" He smiled "No problem. Let me know if there is anything I can do." I drove her home and laid her in bed.

She was a beautiful sleeper, even when she is drunk. As I open the door to leave, she whispered "Nick..." I smiled "Gabby you drank a little too much tonight and I took you home..." There was a moment of silence as we both stared at each other. She mumbled "I don't want to be alone tonight. Will you stay... please?" I nodded 'yes' and undressed where I was only in my underwear. She fell back into the covers as I hopped into bed. I held her close to me. Our heart beats in unison as we drift off to sleep.
