Moon and Star - Part One

The Map

~Prologue~

She was scraping her nails on the wooden table beside the already shredded map. She knew she had to do something; this was just wrong. What would Diamond say? But she knew it was her duty to help her sister. She had a request, and she would grant it. The Element Continent is made of four kingdoms, and the Mysterious Islands. Well, it used to be. She gritted her teeth. Ever since she was small, she dreamt of making a difference - making the world a better place. But it certainly wouldn't help if a new kingdom was made, right? She was Queen Olivia of the Air Kingdom, the entire Element Continent! She could handle it a little . . . Moon kingdom. Besides, it wouldn't be on the continent, and not really a threat. Urgh. Why am I thinking like this? I need to get RID of this all. Suddenly she heard footsteps just as she was about to cross off the newly marked name "Moon Kingdom" from the royal map. Cursing under her breath she said, "Come in!" The door swung open and the last person she wanted to see emerged into the room: Moonlily. "Hi," Moonlily said. "Hello," Olivia responded. Her heart pounded. "I was just wondering - when will the coronation be?" Moonlily asked innocently. Olivia stole a glance at the map. She wished her eyes could burn the Moon Kingdom right off. If looks could burn, the royal map would be up in flames. "Tomorrow," she hissed through gritted teeth. "Great!" Moonlily said. She glanced back at the door. "Are you alright? You don't seem so good." "I'M ALRIGHT!" Olivia yelled. "GET OUT!" Moonlily gave her a confused look and left. It's alright. I'll destroy her kingdom later. No matter when - it'll be gone for sure.
