-Kie pov- 

We ran for what felt like an eternity, I didn't know where we were going but I trusted JJ who was still holding on to my hand, tight. Every 30 seconds he would look back to see if I was ok. 

We stopped running and as we started to slow down I could feel a burn and ache in my chest because we'd been running so much. 

"U ok?" I heard JJ say, he looked at me. I just nodded my words just wouldn't come out.

-JJ pov-

Kie looked tired and scared, I wanted to hug her, hold her, comfort her, tell her everything will be ok. I couldn't. 

I just looked at her, her brown curls falling over the side of her face resting just below her shoulders. "Do u wanna run a bit more or stay here for the night?" I asked 

"I don't think I can run or walk anymore J" She replied looking broken. She pulled her hand up to her chest and gripped her hand into a fist. 

"Are u ok Kie?" 

"Yeah just winded" She said, turning herself to look at me. There it was again, butterflies. I'm starting to hate them. I hadn't forgiven myself for making her cry earlier, she still had dried tear marks on her cheeks. I brought my hands up her her cheeks and started to wipe the marks away, she flinched away at first but soon settled into it. We both just stared at each other, admiring each other, just enjoying being in each others company. 

"J?" Kie whispered just loud enough for me to hear. 

"Yeah?" I said matching her tone. 

"I'm tired" She said, making me chuckle. 

"Uhm K" I said getting up and moving a log to support our heads.

We lay down and our faces were inches apart, again. 

"Night J" She said slightly still upset.

"Night Kie" 

-Kie pov-

I woke up wrapped up in JJ's arms, his right arm was slung around my shoulder, his fingertips just tracing my lower back, his left arm was caressing my arm. It felt nice, so I didn't move, I just lay there. 

About an hour later we both woke up and agreed that we would have to make our way back to camp pretty soon. 

Once we'd dusted ourselves off we started walking, until we heard someone yell

"Dirty Pogues!!!" 

Me and JJ shared a worried look 

"Rafe..."

I was so excited to write this chapter but yeh hope u enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
