Since Sierra's truck was in the shop for repairs, Sierra had been forced to catch a ride with Gordon. Which was not so bad usually, unless Gordon had Winnie on the phone. Which was the case this time, and Sierra was quietly typing away on her computer for her job at the IT company, which was one of her three jobs besides working with the Don't Bothers which doesn't really even pay her at all.
"Where do I start?! You had me start work at the crack of dawn and then I get to work and... there is just too much cocoa butter to fit into the fridge..."
"Winnie." Gordon tried to get her to calm down slightly, or to at least slow down a little bit so that he could get a bunch of info, but of course, she just kept on coming with the complaints.
"There is too much cocoa butter to fit. I suppose that we can donate all of the nachos and guacamole for at least a small charity or food banks, but what am I supposed to do, with a bunch of moldy bread?"
"Winnie... Relax, Winnie." Gordon continued, but Winnie kept on going and Sierra sighed quietly at the sound of Winnie's voice, that was becoming all the more irritating every moment, that passed.
"But then what am I supposed to do, with all of this moldy bread? I can't serve moldy bread." Winnie finally slowed down and Sierra was sighing with relief, as that meant that she could finally just unplug her ears and send off her report.
"Winnie. Uh, Winnie. Winnie, it doesn't matter. If you just scrape the mold off with a real good bread knife, then you can get a few more good days off of that stuff." Gordon was saying and Sierra screeched loudly in terror and in shock, as the passenger side window where she was currently sitting, had just been smashed into by a bunch of concrete.
"Jeez!" Gordon shouted and Sierra's eyes flashed, as she got out of the car and stormed over to the person just to give them a piece of her mind, before she realized that she recognized him.
"No fricking way. No way." Sierra murmured under her breath at the sight of Fulton Reed, and she laughed a little. "Fulton!" She called out and at the sound of his name, Fulton pulled off his protective eye equipment and he pulled her into a big hug.
"Sierra! Man, have we all missed seeing you!" Fulton shouted and he squeezed Sierra so tightly in the hug, that she thought she was going to feel a couple of ribs cracking soon.
"Missed you too, Fulton. Can't... breathe..." Sierra managed to say and Fulton dropped her quickly back onto her feet, once he realized what was going on with her. "It is definitely still just really good to see you, though." It was almost a sad smile that was on her face now, as Sierra left Fulton and Gordon to their conversation and her phone beeped with a text message.
Sierra pulled her phone out of her pocket and Adam's number popped up along with the text message, and she sighed.
"I called him, this time." She had to remind herself, when she was back at home and she was sittin' on the couch in the living room, just waiting for her kids to come home.
Sierra heard a knock on the door and she raises her eyebrows as she walked over to it, and she grabbed for the bat, that was behind the door.
She opened the door and prepared to swing the bat, until Adam held up his hands in surrender. "Did I startle you?" He asked and Sierra shook her head at him in disbelief.
"Thought you were staying at your dad's old place." Sierra grumbled and she put away the bat, as Adam walked in and she shook her head. "Come on in." She muttered sarcastically to his back, after he had already let himself into the house.
"I brought a few peace offerings with me, and a couple of them... they were on their way, they said." Adam said as Sierra's eyes widened.
"They?" She asked and Sierra turned fully around in a circle to gape at the sight and see the eldest of her six children at the door.
"Can we come in?" Remy asked and Sierra didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the sight of the oldest two, so she did both, and she hugged the two boys, she hugged both of them tightly.
"I've missed you boys." She murmured and they were laughing quietly, as they were hugging her and Charlotte squealed loudly.
"Charlotte." Adam said with a huge smile on his face, and the younger of his two daughters jumped into his arms for a hug. "Oof, hey kid." He said.
