Eren POV
“I’m fine.” Mom smiled down at me. She held out her arm, on it shimmered a green glowing bracelet. “Hange is helping me now.”
“Yeah, she couldn’t get out of bed two days ago, now she has the strength to walk.” The weird scientist told me. “Oh, can I give him his present now!” She exclaimed holding her arms up excitedly.
“No!” Levi grouched. “We agreed we were going to show him the house first!” Hange’s face fell slightly.
“Fine!” She mumbled. “I will take the other Yeager’s to my lab.” She took a hold of mom’s elbow.
“I’ll see you soon.” I told her. Once she was out of sight I turned to Armin and the others. “Why didn’t you tell me she was so bad off?” I demanded.
“We didn’t know. Not until she called Levi three days ago. Hange went and did her magic.” Armin stated. “She thinks she can cure her. Has some potions brewing for it.” He added with a smirk.
“Let’s show you the house before Hange has a fit.” Levi suggested. To my surprise it was Erwin who pushed me up the ramp and into the house. Everything looked amazing. It was all open.  A huge kitchen greeted me opposite the doorway. Chrome appliances shimmered from the over head lightening. A bar like area separated the kitchen and dinning rooms. Exposed beams hung over head making the place smell like pine.
“This is the main hub.” Levi explained. “It’s like a wheel from here.” He added. Pointing toward one side of the kitchen he added. “That just leads to the officer’s offices. You have one, across from mine. But Hange stated she will probably just keep you in the lab.” He shrugged. “The laundry rooms are right behind the kitchen, along with the cleaning supplies.” He glared at me I smirked. Moving more or less to the right of this he led us to a wide opening. There was a ramp that led down into a sunken living room.
Connie and Sasha were making out on a wrap around couch. A fire twinkled merrily in the fireplace facing them. “I KNOW YOU HAVE A ROOM!” Levi bellowed. The pair leapt to their feet. They saluted Levi, stated how happy they were that I was home, and dashed out. Surrounding the walls were bookshelves. Some had books while others held plants or knickknacks. It had a homey feel to it.
Levi breezed through here letting me know I could look around later. On the other side of this was another hall. “This is where anyone assigned to the Levi squad and not officer ranked are housed.” He told me. It was where Connie and Sasha had run too. We circled the living room, went back through the kitchen to the other side. He pointed to one hall off to the left as we faced away from the kitchen.
“Down there are the rooms assigned to anyone in the B.R.A.T. squad, not officer ranked.” He explained. Spinning on his heal he marched to the other hall. Stomping down it he pointed to door. “Hange’s, Mikasa’s, Erwin…” on and on he listed every officer on base. Then he turned a corner. Here was a short hall that ended in a single door. He went up to it.
“Erwin and Armin designed this with some ingenuity from Hange.” He shoved the double doors opened. Walking up to me, he picked me up.
“Hey!” I cried. He chuckled.
“Isn’t a husband suppose to carry the bride over the threshold when they first enter their new dwelling together?” his eye twinkled with merriment as he smirked.
“Who said I was the bride, runt!”  I complained. He laughed.
“Who has two legs, brat?” He countered. I heard Erwin gasp; Armin sighed heavily.
“Low blow, jerk.” I muttered.
“The lowest since both my feet touch the floor.” He glared daring me to make a fuss over his teasing. “Eren, I don’t care if you have any legs. You are still the perfect person for me.” He pressed his forehead to mine. “Don’t leave me.” He whispered. I cupped his chin in my hand.
“Never, I promise.” We kissed as he walked us over the threshold. When I lifted my head, I couldn’t believe what I saw. The room was amazing. The bed sat directly ahead. There was nothing on the floor. It was huge. I could easily maneuver three wheelchairs around in here. Doors lined the walls.
Levi turned back to my chair. He lowered me into it. Walking over to the first door beside the bed, he opened it. Flicking the light on he showed me a closet. “Hange set this up for you, come here.” He gestured. I wheeled myself up to it. He showed me buttons placed on the inside of the wall. It was sort of like a dry cleaner’s rack. I pressed the pants button. The clothing inside whizzed around until the door was filled with all my pants. Pressing the shirts gave me shirts. I had one for hoodies, jackets, shoes, uniforms and other. I pressed the other.
The rack swung; the whirring motors zipped hanging clothes around. Everything was set to eye level for me. When the thing stopped, I had to laugh. There in front of me was a bunny outfit footed pajama.
“What the hell is that shitty glasses up to!” Levi screeched. I took his hand, pulling him to me. I wrapped my arms around his waist as I laid my head against his chest. “I bet it’s soft. Just imagine me in that, and you naked…” I cooed.
“Alright enough with the fur suit!” Erwin screamed. Levi snorted. I looked over my shoulder, Armin was blushing furiously. I giggled.
“What’s behind these other doors?” I asked. Armin showed me my dresser. It was a book shelf behind another door. There were cloth boxes that held things like my undershirts, tank tops, socks and underwear in them. There was even a small one for my wallet and pocket stuffs. I liked it.
The door on the other side of the bed was Levi’s closet. He too had a dresser closet beside it. There was huge floor to ceiling windows hidden behind blackout curtains. Beyond them was the woods that surrounded the house.
“Don’t even think about having sex with the curtains open. There are three look out spots just outside here that are manned at all times. Need to make sure you are safe.” Erwin pointed out.
“But if the lights are off…” I began.
“Night vision googles, Yeager!” Erwin snarled. I snickered it was fun getting his blood pressure up. The last door, which was located across from the bed, was actually two doors. All the doors here slid into the walls in order for me to get around in my chair. These led to a bathroom.
“The shower has a slid in chair, or you can use the hand rails and there is a seat inside you can sit on. We weren’t sure what you would prefer.” Armin stated. The sink was set low. I wheeled up to it. I could reach everything easily. Someone had even thought to position the mirror for me. At seeing this I began to laugh, hard. Levi had come up behind me. His face was reflected back at me, just slightly above my own.
“YOU FUCKING BRAT!” He screamed realizing what I was laughing at. He swatted me on the arm.. I pushed back pinning him between my handles and the wall.
“It pays to be in a wheelchair with a tiny ass boyfriend!” I laughed at him. He smacked me again.
“I ain’t your boyfriend freak!” He snarled. The ring on my hand glistened in the light above us. I smiled at him.
“Fiancé, then.” I turned around. Pulling him on to my lap, I kissed him. “I like how cute and short you are. I guess one good thing about being stuck in here…” I tapped my palm against the armrest of the chair. “… is we are now the same height.” Snickering I watched him. He nuzzled into my shoulder, kissing my neck.
“I’m just glad to have you home, Eren.” He whispered as his arms snaked around my neck. I cuddled him to me.
“I’m glad to be home.” I responded.
“Come on, we still have to go see Hange’s gift.” Armin tugged on my handles. Levi clung to me.
“Push us both!” He insisted. I laid my chin on top of his head, pulling his legs up. He tucked his feet under my leg in order to keep them from banging off of the walls. As we snuggled in the chair, Erwin pushed us back to the kitchen. We went down the hall for the officer’s offices.
Levi dozed against my shoulder. “This is my office.” Armin pointed out. “Erwin’s is here. Levi’s is beside his and yours is next to mine, across from Levi’s. So, he can watch you if you both have your doors open.” He jogged ahead of us pointing out each door, but he didn’t open any of them. We reached the end of the hall, here was yet another set of double doors. Once more they slid into the walls.
Inside was a massive labatory. To my left sat ten large B.RA.T.S. My command unit being the first in line. Next was Petra’s blue one. There was a black and silver one, a blue one with stars over the eyes and the rest weren’t painted.
“Jean and Marco have joined the B.R.A.T squad. We have some other contenders, but you will have to look through their file and select them.” Erwin told me. I nodded. We were up at least six feet from the floor of the lab.
“Uh, Erwin?” I asked. He smiled.
“Over here.” He pushed me to where Armin stood. There was a wheelchair lift. Carefully they placed me on it without disturbing Levi. Armin showed me how to operate it. It was a little slow, but took me to the floor. On the other side was stairs for anyone who could walk. The blond duo met us on the floor.
“Oh, he looks so cute when he is asleep. I just want to wrap him up like a little burrito baby!” Hange gushed.
“You do and I will murder you.” Levi stated.
“Humph.” Hange crossed her arms looking upset. Then suddenly she clapped her hands together. “Oh, Eren’s present, I can give it to him now?” she asked.
“Yes, we are all waiting to see it.” Erwin said.
“Levi, please move away from Eren.” Hange said sweetly.
“Uh, no, not liking that look.” He stated.
“MOVE IT RUNT!” Hange bellowed.
“Just do it, I’m curious.” I told him. He stood up beside my chair. Jean came out carrying a rather long box. A smile on his face. Marco all but skipping beside him.
“Eren you are going to love this!” He crowed. I was beginning to feel excited, what could it be?
“Close your eyes.” Hange demanded.
“Go ahead, cause, I’m not.” Levi snorted. I closed my eyes. I felt someone pull up my pant leg. A tingling sensation went over my stump, then a gentle pressure surrounded it.
“On your feet, lieutenant.” Hange ordered. I opened my eyes. Looking down I gasped. There was a leg where none had been before. It didn’t look like plastic; it didn’t feel like anything I had tried on as of date. The color matched my skin tone. If I wasn’t positive, I had lost my leg, it would seem like it regrew.
Locking the brakes on my chair, I placed my real leg onto the floor. Carefully I used my hands to put the artificial one beside it. It felt like real skin and muscle as I moved it. Pushing off of the arm rests, I slowly stood up. For the first time in months, I was standing on my own feet. Marco was behind me, Jean on my right. Levi and Erwin hovered near my left.
“Walk to me.” Armin demanded. He stood on the far side of the lab, a good fifty or sixty feet away. I reached out for Levi. Hange smacked my hand away.
“Just walk!” She ordered. I did. One slow step at a time. It didn’t feel like I had a fake leg. I picked up my pace. The four guys moving with me. By the time I reached Armin, I was nearly jogging. Laughing I threw my arms around him.
“This is incredible!” I cried. I scooped Levi up, kissing him as I spun around. There were cries of warning, cheers and then… I put Levi down. Marching up to Hange, I saluted her.
“Thank you, Captain!”  with tears in her eyes, she returned my salute. I hugged her. “You’re the best, smartest and awesomest person I have ever met.” I told her. She giggled.
“I know. Now we need to get you in your tux for the wedding.”
“What wedding?” I asked.
“Yours stupid.” Levi said. He was grinning. “You did say you would marry me as soon as you could walk down the aisle. Well, the aisle is waiting outside, as will I. Don’t keep me waiting, brat.” Erwin followed him out a side door.
“For real?” I cried.
“Yes!” Hange and Armin yelled.
