I woke up this morning and chose violence. So what do you think Rhys experienced at that moment in WaR no one wants to talk about. Those pages where he did not live? This is what I think he experienced. Apologize in advance for any tears.

He looked around, the war was over, they had won... Rhys looked at his mate, who was siting down besides a body, crying.

Feyre darling... We won. He said but his words was muffled, like he was talking behind a glass wal. Feyre? Rhys looked down on the body and saw himself. His eyes closed, a relaxed expression. Feyres cries got louder, she was screaming at the others around her. But Rhys didn't hear her words, he only looked at her. His mate, the love of his life, his Feyre.

I never wanted to leave... In that last moment all he could think of was to save her, to make sure she was safe in a world that would remain. He had told her that he loved her... But he had never planed to die... Once in his life, maybe. But not now.

Rhysand of the Night Court. A voice said behind him. Let me show you the consequences of your actions. He almost screamed when Feyres pleads for help from the other High Lords whnt ignored. No one had the enrgi to give him his life back. And Beron had already left the scene. He saw how a wounded Cassian, supported by Azriel and Nesta, came to his mate. He saw his cousin weeping as she tried to comfort Feyre. He had left them... Again... Forever.

And then Mors face changed from sorrow and grief to chock. He saw how she talked to Feyre, how she looked over to his brothers with a worried look.

What is happening? Rhys asked the voice turning around hoping to see who it was.

This is a point in time where two things could happen, you surviving, or she becoming pregnant. Rhys snaped his head back to his mate and tried to move closer to her, tried to comfort her. Let's go. The scene in front of him changed.

Velaris spread out under him, and the streets was filed with light, his citizens was gathering in the streeting holding candles. And he could hear them singing a song for him. And he saw her, standing on one of the Balconies at the House of Winds. A hand on her back and the other resting on the slight swell of her belly.

Your birthday. The voice said. Don't you worry, we have a lot to see. Glimpses of the time following made Rhys feel sick. Winter solstice and her birthday... He saw her cry, her pain, her discomfort. He saw how there friends tried to help her, guide her. He saw how she was standing alone on Starfall. How she painted his eyes over and over. And he saw the birth of his son.

Stop! Rhys called out to the voice. Please stop! He couldn't take it anymore. He was supposed to be there, helping her. Holding his son in those first precious moments.

You made this happen High Lord. This is the consequences. The voice was mocking him from behind. You gave your life for this.

I never wanted her to be alone... He tried to tuch her, he tried to hear her voice through the barrier that separated them.

She is not alone. The scene changed again and Rhys saw her playing around with his child in a meadow, He knew that meadow. Under a old oaktree four gravestones was raised. Three by Rhys himself. And the last...

Here lies Rhysand, A brother, a friend, a mate and a Father. The voice read out loude from the last stone. Touching, isn't it?

Let me go home! Rhys called out. The scene changed again, to Feyre talking to a different male.

He also lost his mate in the war, they are bonding over that. The voice explained. She can never love him, but she tries. But all Rhys could think about was the fact that his mate was smiling.
