Chapter Eight

>>Hope's POV<<

"The students are... Sabastian Jackson, Lucy Wilson, Rebecca Johnson, Vanessa Jacobs, Kirsten Smith, and Hope Jordan! Congratulations have fun at the Talent Show tomorrow afternoon!"

As soon as they announced my name my whole drama class went insane! They cheered we danced around, we were just so excited. But then I realized one thing. Stage fright.

"Oh my god! This is amazing, but what about my stage fright?" I asked

"Don't worry you'll be amazing! Just imagine it's just us in the audience, if you could act and be yourself in front of us, you could do that in front of everyone!" Brendon said

"Hope, you'll be amazing, you'll be just fine, don't think about it too much" Mr. Parker said

"Ready to rehearse our skit?" Brendon

"Yup, I'm ready. Hopefully the skit will go alright" I said

"The skit will be perfect, I think your just freaking out to much about the Talent Show" Brendon replied

"You're probably right. Let's just rehearse now please" I replied

We rehearsed for about 10 min, than it was time to present, I don't know why, but I felt nervous, when it comes to performing in front of my drama class, I'm usually excited and not nervous. I'm usually really happy performing for them.

"Okay who wants to go first? Hmm... how about Melissa" Mr. Parker said

So Melissa and Adam were partners and their skit was about an old woman and an old man that fall in love but soon after the girl dies from a heart attack.... Yeah their sort of 'dark' people in the class.

So everyone went up and the last two people who went up were me and Brendon. I was terrified. But I think it went pretty smoothly.

>>THE SKIT<<

Main characters- Romeo and Johanna

Romeo- (inside of Juliet's house) "Juliet! I'm sorry! I just don't think we're meant to be!" (Romeo gets thrown out of Juliet's house)
Johanna- (sitting on curb by Juliet's house) "Having girl troubles?"

Romeo- "No, just breaking up with a girl..."

Johanna- "Let, me guess you used the 'sorry it's not working out' move didn't you?"

Romeo- "No, I said that we weren't meant to be..."

Johanna- "Ah, the second most common way to break up with someone."

Romeo- "So, what's your name?"

Johanna- "I'm Johanna, you are?"

Romeo- "I'm Romeo"

Johanna- "Romeo, like the Shakespeare play. One of my favourite plays"

Romeo- "Really? Romeo and Juliet is one of my favourites too, clearly it was my parents favourite as well. They named me after the guy in Romeo and Juliet"

Johanna- (Gets a phone call from dad) "Okay, but dad, ugh, fine I'm on my way." (hangs up) "Sorry, but I have to go, um, if you ever want to talk, here's my number" (gives Romeo her number)

Romeo- "Thank you, I'll talk to you later?"

Johanna- "Sure"

Johanna- "Dad! I'm home! What did you need to talk to me about?"

Dad- "Hey Hun. Your doctor called. Remember your last check up and you had to get an MRI?"
