Saturday... ugh, I actually hate Saturdays now...
"Hope? You okay?" My mom asks. "Yeah, I'm fine... just want to be alone right now..." I reply. "Well your friends are downstairs, you may want to get dressed and come down to the kitchen" Mom says. "Ok." I reply
I walk downstairs, not bothering to get dressed, brush my hair and teeth. I just walked straight downstairs. "Hey, you okay?" Kirsten asked "You upset?" Vanessa asked "I'm okay.. I guess" I reply
"You're not okay..." Kirsten said. I just nod. "Come on, go get dressed and let's go to the mall" Kirsten says. "Or, I can go to the mall in Pj's" I answered. "If that's what you want to do, then sure why not" Vanessa said
We went to the barn saddled up and left for the mall. As we were passing Josh's old house, I just stopped and stared at his house... thinking of all the memories, hoping that it's just a bad dream that he left.
"Hope, you okay?" Vanessa asks. I shake my head no. Vanessa and Kirsten look at each other, they come over to where I am, and stay beside me. "He'll be back, don't worry" Kirsten says.
"What if he doesn't come back? What if one night when we video chat, he says 'Hope, I can't handle this... I wish I was with you, but I'm not. I think we should break up...'" I explain
"He won't do that. He loves you too much. He would do anything for you" Vanessa says
"I guess... I just miss him so much, he means everything to me... I just wish he was here..." I explain
"I know you do. We wish he was here too. He's a pretty cool guy after all. And we hate seeing you like this. We love seeing you two together, seeing you two happy together. We know how much you're hurting, I wish there was something we can do to help..." Kirsten explains
I stare at Josh's house in silence.
Next thing I know, I see Josh's truck pulling up to his house. I stare and think... this isn't real... is that actually...? I ride my horse as fast as possible to Josh's house, and it was. It was Josh. I scream out "JOSH!!! IT'S ACTUALLY YOU!"
I hop of my horse and run into Josh's arms, and we hugged a nice long tight hug.
"I missed you so much! I hate being away from you. You're the only one I want to be with. The one I want to spend the rest of my life with!" I said
"I missed you too Hope! Being away from you was the worse experience of my life. My life isn't complete without you. You're my whole world, I don't want to live without having you in my life. You're the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, the one I want to call my beautiful wife. The one I want to grow old with" Josh explained
We sat in the yard, and talked and talked and talked and talked. We cuddled, we kissed, talked more. And we did that over and over again.
"Hope? Hope? Hope you okay?" Kirsten and Vanessa asked
"What?" I asked
"Are you okay?" Kirsten asked "Yeah, you started crying a lot... was it another fantasy?" Vanessa asked
"Yeah... Josh came back..." I said Vanessa and Kirsten looked at each other and started tearing up.
"You still want to go to the mall?" Vanessa asked "Sure... maybe I'll feel better if I just got away for the day" I said
So we rode to the mall, went shopping, I didn't buy anything for once. We went over to Tim Hortons, Kirsten bought me a large Ice Capp and a chocolate donut.
We sat at a table and talked, except me. I just stared at my drink and thought about Josh. all the great times we had. The awesome conversations we had, when we would watch movies and we fall asleep in each other's arms.
"Hope?" Kirsten asked "Yeah?" I reply "You okay?" Kirsten asked. I shrug
Kirsten and Vanessa look at each other. "If you want to go home that would be okay with us" Vanessa said
"No, it's okay. We can stay here..." I said
"You sure?" Kirsten asked
I nod.
We walked around the mall for another two hours or so, after a while we went to the spa and got massages.
We rode around some more, and we ended up at the park by the pathway to where Josh and I hung out a lot.
"Maybe we shouldn't go through the trail... maybe we should just head back to Hope's place... you want to head home Hope?" Vanessa asked
"Sure" I replied
We headed home put the horses in the barn, and walked back to the house.
"You guys can meet me at the house, I'm just going to stay out here for a while" I said
"You sure you want to stay out here by yourself?" Kirsten asked
I nod
"Okay, we'll see you inside in a bit" Vanessa said
I nod.
I sit down across from Josh's house, and I closed my eyes and went into my fantasy.
>>Fantasy<<
I see Josh's car pull up, I think to myself it can't be Josh... But I would never mistake Josh's car, if I see Josh's car, I know it Josh. I get up and run to him. I scream out "JOSH! YOUR HOME!"
"HOPE! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" Josh said
"I missed you too!" I said
"You okay?" Josh asked
"I am now" I reply
"I'm sorry for leaving... my parents noticed how depressed I was when we left. So they said were moving back here." Josh explained
"Wait, so you're actually staying?!" I asked
"Yep, I'm staying here for good. I'm staying here with you" Josh said
I gave him a long tight hug
"I'm so happy. This is the best day ever! Promise me you will never leave again?" I asked
"The last thing I want is to leave you again... leaving you was the worse experience of my life. I don't want to go through life without you. I don't want to live without you. You're the one I love, and the only thing I want is to stay with you and make you happy" Josh said
"I want to stay with you too, I don't want to go through life without you... I wouldn't be happy without you. I want to stay with you for the rest of my life. My life isn't complete without you." I said
>>End of Fantasy<<
"Hope? You okay? Mom asked
"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine." I said even though I'm crying
"You're not okay... I can tell" Mom said
"I just miss him so much..." I said
"I know. He'll be back, don't worry" Mom said
We go inside, I sit down on the couch where my friends are.
"I'll go make some hot chocolate" Mom said
I nod
I'm still crying, and in the room there's nothing but silence.
A few minutes later mom walks in with hot chocolate.
"Everything will be okay, you'll see him again. Before you know it he'll be back. Just have to be patient" Mom said
Unless I just live in my fantasy until he gets back.... I think to myself.
