Chapter Nine

>>Hope's POV<<

Once I started the intro of Titanium, I started thinking "Why am I doing this? Why did I come up here? Why did I audition" Than I started singing, and it actually seemed like people were enjoying me singing. People were clapping, and they weren't looking around the room looking for something better to do, or asking if they could go to the washroom just so they could get some what away from the performer. For once I didn't feel invisible. When I finished the song, everyone stood up and cheered. They clapped and cheered. It was the most amazing feeling ever.

When I went back to my seat, next to my friends, they were so ecstatic.

"Hope, you were amazing!" Kirsten said

"See, I knew you'd be fine!" Vanessa said

"Thanks guys! I never thought I would be able to do it, thank you for encouraging me to audition for the Talent Show, I would've never conquered my stage fright without you guys supporting me" I explained

"Everyone was amazing! Good job to all the performers, and I am speechless with one of the performers. Hope, I never knew you had such an amazing voice, I don't think any of us were expecting that." The principle said

Sure when the principle said that, I did get a bit embarrassed, I kept feeling like people were staring at me, and I'm going to be honest I did feel uncomfortable when I felt like people were staring at me...

At the end of the Talent Show, my friends I met up with Josh and we got to chat for a bit.

"Hey Hope! You were amazing! I told you, you were going to be just fine" Josh said

"Thank you Josh! I still can't believe that I actually got up and sang in front of the whole school!" I replied

"Hope! Straight to PE! No chatting! Oh by the way, amazing singing!" Mr. Coby said

"Okay, I'll head to Gym A, and thanks, I didn't think I would be able to sing in front of everyone" I replied

"I guess we'll see you later" Kirsten said

"Meet in front of the school after school" I said

"Okay, see you after school" Vanessa said

"Love you guys" I said

"Love you too" Kirsten, Vanessa and Josh said

I walked to Gym A where we were playing basketball, I like basketball not only because apparently I'm good at it but it's fun to play, but it's just not my favourite sport.

I walk into the gym and everybody cheered, they all started yelling "Congratulations Hope! You were amazing!" Stuff like that. I found it overwhelming that everybody were cheering and yelling at me, I'm not used to that... well the yelling I'm used to... yeah fuck you dad for always yelling, and for all the abuse you did to me and mom!

So once everyone finally backed away and went to grab a basketball Jasmine came up to me and started talking to me.

"Hey Hope, so you were actually in the Talent Show huh, was it fun?" Jasmine asked

"Yeah it was fun I guess, I was petrified at first though" I said

"Yeah, I don't understand why you made it into the Talent Show instead of me, I mean... I'm a WAY better singer than you" Jasmine said

"Excuse me, you may think that, but the teacher didn't, not my fault that they think I'm better than you" I replied

"You take that back you little bitch!" Jasmine shouted

"Why are you even being mean to me? What in the hell did I ever do to you?" I asked

"You made your audition but I didn't! I've wanted to show the school my talent!" Jasmine said

"Well that's not my fault. It's the teacher that picked the talented ones" I replied

"You know what you really have to learn how to keep your mouth shut!" Jasmine shouted

"Excuse me, who started talking about the stupid Talent Show first... hmmm... I believe it was you, you little bitch" I replied

"Go fuck yourself" Jasmine said as she walked away
