Another day... another awful day without Josh. I am struggling so much with this, not having him here. I feel so alone, even though I have my mom, Kirsten and Vanessa... They're trying to help me, but I never listen, I just ignore and stare into nothing. Always fantasising Josh coming home. It makes me sad, but I can't help it.
Everyday Kirsten, Vanessa and my mom try to get me to eat or go outside and enjoy some fresh air, but I don't eat, I don't go outside. Just me inside watching movies alone... crying. I do snack on stuff in the movie room, but that's about it. If I'm not watching movies, I'm lying in bed curled into a ball crying.
A few weeks later, I finally get out of bed and head downstairs, I see Kirsten Vanessa and my mom sitting on the couch. They didn't seem like their happy selves. I knew something was wrong.
"Mom? Kirsten? Vanessa? Something wrong?" I asked
"Oh! Hope, you're okay. Umm... everything is fine. Don't worry, you should just go outside or have something to eat." Mom said
"Okay..." I replied
I went to the kitchen made myself a huge lunch, when my friends and my mom walks in.
"Hope, there's something we need to tell you" Mom said.
"What is it?" I asked. "There's been an accident, Josh got into a car crash. His parents called and let us know. They said he will be okay, its nothing too serious." Mom explained
"Josh... was in a car crash...?" I asked. They all nod.
I ran into my mom arms, and started to cry.
"WHERE ARE THEY?!" I asked. "Josh wanted to surprise you by coming to visit, so the hospital that they're at is about two hours away." Mom said.
"I'm going. I'm going to see him" I said
"Be careful. Vanessa and Kirsten can you go with her? I'll come by later" Mom said
"Yea, we can go" Vanessa said while Kirsten nods.
We saddled up and rode as fast as we can to the hospital, we ended up getting lost within 45 minutes, we asked for directions at some grocery store.
Two hours later, we finally found the hospital, we saw Josh's parents in the waiting room.
"Hey Jill and Jeremy!" I said as I walked over to hug them.
"Hey Hope, how you doing?" Jill asked "Not so good" I replied
"We heard how upset you are." Jeremy said "Yeah, I've been pretty upset... I'm pretty worried right now though..." I said
"Josh will be okay. The doctors said it's nothing too serious." Jill said. "Is it possible if I can see him?" I asked. Jill and Jeremy nod.
They lead the way to Josh's room, Kirsten and Vanessa waited by the door of his room while I went in and see him.
"Hope? Is that you?" Josh asks "Yep, it's me" I said "Oh my god, I'm sorry that you have to see me like this, I was going to come surprise you at your place, but next thing I know I'm here" Josh said
"Yeah, my mom told me what happened. You okay?" I ask
"I'm better now that you're here." Josh said
I smiled.
We talked and laughed like we used to when he lived across from my place. After like half an hour I finally told him Kirsten and Vanessa were with me.
"Oh, by the way, Kirsten and Vanessa are here as well." I said
Kirsten and Vanessa run in tears running down their faces.
"OH MY GOD! I LOVE SEEING YOU TWO SO HAPPY TOGETHER!!!!" Kirsten and Vanessa shouted
Kirsten and Vanessa give me and Josh a huge hug.
We all talked and laughed. We talked about how happy Josh and I are together, how much we love each other. We talked about how much we love how close of a group we are, and we talked about all the memories we shared.
About three hours later my mom walked into the room. She asked how Josh is doing, she told Josh how depressed I was, talked how much they tried to get me to leave the house and how they tried to get me to eat. Then she started talking about how great it was when Josh lived across from us, and she asked Josh something that I never thought I would hear her ask...
"Hey Josh, I talked to your parents, and I was thinking if you would like to come live with us." Mom asked.
"Seriously?! He can live with us? I asked
Mom nods.
"Is that okay with my parents? And is it really okay with you?" Josh asked.
"Yep, your parents said its okay and its okay with me too. But you'll be sleeping on the couch." Mom said
"If it's okay, I would love to. Thank you so much Ms. Jordan." Josh said
"Thank you so much mom!" I said
"You're very welcome. Hope, you me Kirsten and Vanessa should get going, let Josh get some rest." Mom said
"Okay. I'll see soon Josh" I said
"By darling, I love you so much. I'll see you tomorrow." Josh said
"I love you too my love" I said
"See you tomorrow chicken butt! Kirsten said
"See ya cowboy!" Vanessa said
"See ya Kirsten, see ya Vanessa" Josh said
As we left, I said thank you to Jill and Jeremy for allowing Josh to live with me. I gave them a huge hug, and we left. I left in such a good mood, so happy that I can't stop smiling.
"It's great seeing you smile again Hope" Kirsten said as mom and Vanessa agreed
"It feels great to smile again. I'm in such a great mood, I can't wait for tomorrow. I said
