Chapter Twelve

>>Hope's POV<<

School ended and as I looked through the halls as I'm making my way to the front, I notice everyone is handling Jasmine's death differently. There are people who are excited about her death, there are people who are divested (which were her 'friends') and there are people who are just ignoring it. I'm one of those people whose ignoring it, because one day, probably pretty quickly now, I'm not going to be here. I'm in so much pain from the cancer that I could barely walk around.

Finally I'm at the front, Kirsten, Vanessa and Josh aren't here yet, so I decided to sit on the steps and relax. Maybe around 5 minutes later they arrived at the front.

"Hey Hope! How you doing?" Kirsten asks

"Alright, just in pain" I replied

"Need help up?" Josh asks

I nodded, tears running down my face.

"You okay?" Josh asks

"No. Soon I'm going to end up like Jasmine, one day soon enough, I'm going to be gone, but I don't want to leave you. I don't want to leave you, Kirsten, and Vanessa. I love you guys too much.

We went over to our horses, and went home. Once we got home, we put them in the stable, and Josh lifted me up, and carried me to my front porch.

"Thank you Josh" I said with a small giggle.

"Anytime Juliet" Josh replies

"You guys are just so cute! I would hate to see what life will be like if you pass" Kirsten said

I couldn't help it, once she said that I started bawling my eyes out.

"Why me? Why does this have to be like this?" I yelled

"It's okay, everything will be okay, just try not to think about it" Josh said

"I can't! I hate the thought of leave you guys! I don't want to die, I want to grow old with you guys, and yes that's a reference from The Wedding Singer, but I can't help it" I said

"You'll always be with me, no matter what" Josh said

"I love you, Romeo" I said

"I love you too, Juliet" Josh replied

Vanessa and Kirsten pulled me inside. I just lay down on the couch, crying my eyes out.

"How about we go watch a movie" Kirsten suggested

"Okay" I said

We get to the movie room, about maybe 10 minutes into the movie I fell asleep for the night, even though it was only 4:30.

"Okay, knowing Hope she's not going to wake up until tomorrow morning" Vanessa said

"I know what we could do. On the weekend we'll take her to the spa, maybe on Saturday, so Hope and Josh could spend Sunday together" Kirsten suggested

"Yes! We have to do that!" Vanessa said

Morning. God, I hate mornings. Especially right now, I wish I could sleep all day.

We did the usual thing, practically Kirsten and Vanessa moved in, they have all their clothes, valuables and chargers etc. with them. We have breakfast, after breakfast we brush our teeth, and went outside to meet up with Josh outside at the stable.

"Good morning sweetheart" Josh said as he kisses my forehead

"Morning baby" I reply

"How about today you ride with me?" Josh asked

"I'd love too" I reply

Josh hops on his horse first, than he grabs my hand, and pulls me up. I hold on to him tightly.

We got to school, he gets off first and he tells me to jump, and that we would catch me. I trusted him. I jumped off the horse, and he caught me and held on to me and spun me around.

Normal day. Same classes, no changes. Same thing happened in drama, everyone was divested that I had cancer, and we practiced a new skit. But something happened, something that I don't think none of us were expecting.

Brendon and I were partners (as usual). We were trying to make the audience cry, and at the final scene there was going to be a kiss, but the kiss didn't happen because this happened-

>>Brendon leans in for a kiss<<

I stop, and fall to the ground. Everyone thought that's how we were going to end the skit, but Brendon yelled-

NO NO! THIS ISN'T APART OF OUR SKIT! SOMEONE CALL 911, HER PARENTS, MR. PARKER GO GET HER FRIENDS AND BOYFRIEND!

I could see and hear, but I couldn't move or speak, I was freaking out, I was petrified. I thought it was actually my time to go.

My Drama class knew everything about each other, friends, boyfriend that sort of things. I talk about Josh, Kirsten and Vanessa all the time.

Next thing I knew Josh came running in the theatre first and he picked me up and held me close and starting saying how much he loved me, how much he doesn't want me to go. This is the conversation-

Josh- Hope, please don't go. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me. I don't know what I would do if I lose you now. Please Hope. You're my Juliet, my one and only.

That was about all I heard and I passed out, my eyes closed and I could no longer hear or see.

The next thing I knew I could hear again, but I couldn't see. I heard Josh, Vanessa and Kirsten talking to each other, saying they have to be strong.

"We'll leave you alone with Hope for a bit" Kirsten said

"Thank you" Josh said

He grabs my hand and held it tightly.

"Hope, if you can hear me, I want you to fight as hard as you can. I don't want to lose you, not yet; I want to grow old with you. You know, yesterday when you mentioned that reference from The Wedding Singer, when I got home I watched it right away. I want to marry you one day; I want to grow old with you, Juliet"

He lays he's head on my stomach crying. I opened my eyes slowly, and I moved my hand on he's head and started petting he's head softly.

"Hope. You're okay!" Josh said hugging me gently crying tears of joy.
