Can't You See Me? ➳ Taegyu ✔

1. Okay Hyung

A/N: Some of the "popular kids" in this story will have the same names as some idols, but they are not the idols!! I don't make idols my villains anymore because I hate it!!

Date: September 14th

"Taehyun-ah!" Beomgyu said happily as he and his best friend walked up to the gates of their new school. "I'm so happy we were able to come to this school together!"

"Me too..."

After years of practically living at each other's houses, it's no surprise that their parents were already very close. So with a little bit of convincing, and a lot of help from Beomgyu's rich parents, they were allowed to move to Seoul together to go to a certain school.

Well, Beomgyu didn't need permission since he was an adult, but Taehyun would be an adult on January 1st (A/N: Korean age).

"We only have a few classes together though. And they're all in the afternoon," Taehyun said, looking sadly at his schedule.

"Well, it'll be fine. We'll make time. And now we live together. Alone. There shouldn't be a lot of things that take us away from each other."

Beomgyu went to his first class, which he unfortunately didn't have with Taehyun. It was small with only a few students in it, and he went to go sit by one who looked nice.

The other students all sighed in disappointment when he sat there, but he brushed it off.

"Choi Beomgyu."

"Here!"

"Choi Soobin."

"Here," the student sitting next to him said.

"Shin Ryujin."

"Son Youngjae."

A few names later, and they were given a few minutes to talk.

"So, your name is Soobin?" Beomgyu asked.

"Mhm..."

"I'm Beomgyu."

Soobin looked at him with a small smile. "I know."

Beomgyu's eyes widened. "How?"

"Because you said "here" when your name was called."

He rolled his eyes and Beomgyu shook his head, feeling like an idiot. After a little bit, they were tasked with finding partners for an upcoming project and Beomgyu looked at Soobin hopefully. The other looked around for anyone else, groaning when they all had partners.

"Fine."

So for the rest of class, they talked about astrology since that was the type of science they were tasked with, and Beomgyu noticed Soobin was standoffish with him. It made him sad.

Was he unlikable? Was Soobin just shy? Was he not well-dressed?

Even though his family was rich, Beomgyu never really cared about what he looked like. But Soobin was so insanely "chic" that Beomgyu felt intimidated by it.

After his first few classes, he had noticed the very obvious hierarchy in the school. There were multiple of the same students, he noticed, who had the most respect when they entered the room. If they wanted to sit somewhere, they sat there. And if someone was sitting there, they still sat there.

And the teachers did nothing about it...

At lunch, he got his food and went over to Soobin who was sitting at a table, doing something on his phone.
