Chapter 8 - Help for a Help.

MARYLYN P. O. V ~

The next morning, it was the day of my club official auditions and i was all set in the campus with a bank ready for the student who wants to join.

Something most people think I'm bad at is Performing and singing.  I always wanted to perform my own self composed song in front thousands of fans.

I might be dreaming so big but dreaming isn't forbidden.  I know no one would want to join my club even my two best friends jackson and Eric,  but there's nothing wrong with trying hard.

Jackson joined me few minutes later. "Hey Mary, expecting any people for audition today? " Jacky asked with a smirk. Those he have to make me feel bad.!

"Well my dear friend, I've gotten almost 6 approvals " I lied. I had to in order for him to join.

"Are you serious? " he asked in disbelief. "Yeah, why would I lie to you Jacky " I lied again obviously.

"Now you can join my club, right?  It's not a failure club anyway, right? " I asked,  hoping for an approval from my best friend who doesn't help but helps a stranger!  I mean a roommate.

I corrected my thoughts, remembering how Jacky scolding me last night on the phone about not helping his friend. 

"Snap yourself from daydreaming mary" he moved his hand over my face, breaking my thoughts.

"Ah sorry,  so what do you say,  you gonna join?  Ha?  Haa? " I pulled on his sleeves with a cute face,  that never works.

"I'll think about it, if you vanish this trying-to-be-cute face" he joked sarcastically and i was used to it.

"I'll take that as a  'yes, I'm gonna join your club my best friend' " I said with a cheeky smile.

"Hey jackson" we were cut of from our conversation by Nick who was running towards us. Towards jackson.

"Hey man, feeling better today? " Jackson asked "I left you sleeping,  thought you might not have slept well after our mini party last night" jackson added with smile full of smirkness!  What the heck, are they already friends?!.

"Oh!  I wanna do it again today.. and it was so fun, " Nick smiled happily.  Is he over her now? "I did get enough sleep anyway" he tapped jacky's shoulder. And looked over at me.

Why do I suddenly feel nervous making eye contact with him?  I might still feel bad about yelling at him yesterday.. for sure.

"What's happening here? Audition for what? " Nick asked looking at me for an answer.

"Sorry? " I was so into my thoughts that I didn't even realise he was talking to me before Jacky nudged me.

"What's with you daydreaming today? " Jackson asked, embarrassing me in front of Nick. Wait, why do i care.?

"I'm starting my own musical club?" I explained looking around and handing people audition papers. Which in return everyone seemed to toss it away.

"Oh!  That sounds cool" he said and smiled.  So purely. So beautiful. Snap it girl.

"Care to mind? " Jackson asked sarcastically, with the dont-even-think-about it look.  Is he even my real friend!.

"Nope, thanks," he answered like everyone who I offered to join my club today. "I gotta find a job in no time. " I stated.

"Oh! Mary works in a small restaurant around the college in few block, and they need a new janitor" Jacky informed him, offering him a big help I say.

"Oh that's okay,  I'm fine with anything" he smiled cheerfully.  Don't even  think about it. I'm gonna get less noticed if he joins my work place too.

"Mary can help you for sure" Jacky offered without my permission.

"Nope, thanks. " I imitated nicks answer on joining my club. "I have so much work to do" I gave my reason. Walking away to hand over few More papers leaving the two guys who seem so friendly!.

It's a help for a help, friend.
