Assassin's Secret

chapter 2

Astralea's POV

I got back to my house. There are 3 ways to get in, through the front door, back door and through one of those tunnels that I dont think anyone knows about. Since I technically sneaked out, even though I'm 23 which sounds kinda ridiculous, I am going to use the tunnels.

We have a 5 story house with 2 wings. 2 stories are underground. On the ground floor we have kitchen, gym, living room, the basics. It's convenient to have it all together on one floor, if you see a stranger on any other floor but the ground you kill.

Our house is in modern style, unlike most mafia or gang houses. My dad isn't fond of Renaissance style, so instead it's a white and black house with marble floors. On the outside the house is white but it still looks beautiful.

My mom designed it.

On the second floor we have bedrooms. At first we all lived in the west wing, but then my brothers started bringing girls over, every night, my sister and I decided to move to the east wing. My dad's office and room is on the third floor.

Not a lot of people have seen my house up close, mostly because they are scared of my dad. Dante Richmond, a gangster and one of the deadliest men alive. At home he seems like a normal dad, but the moment someone else is there he becomes the devil himself. I'm pretty sure some people call him that.

Tall, dark hair, doesn't really look his age. Usually a glass of whiskey or a gun in his hand and always dressed up. He screams power and death.

He could intimidate anyone, even me, the only person he couldn't was my mom, Elena. Originally he wanted to kill her, she was an Ukrainian assassin, and she was good. Maybe that's where I got my skills.

The only man she couldn't kill was my dad. They kinda had a thing going on of who can kill who first, and they fell in love. Classic love story.. Then she got pregnant with my brother Adron and decided to stay with my dad and they got married.

Grandpa was dead by then so no one protested.

Entrance to the tunnels was about 2 miles from the house, at least the one I'm using. If you didn't know the area you would never find it. Our house is surrounded by woods, safety precautions.

There are a lot of forks in the tunnel, so if you don't know the layout, good luck getting out from this maze. When I reach the door to my actual house I put a hand on a scanner. I put security system up as soon as I found these.

There is a tiny room next to the door, it used to be an armory, but we realized that it's too small, so I use it for myself. I take off my silver wig and my outfit. My family does not know I'm an assassin and I'm planning on keeping it that way. I let my hair out and take out those stupid purple contact lenses.

After changing into one of my oversized shirts I leave, carrying my bag with me to my room. I'm using the same bag I would use if I went to the gym so no one questions it. Plus it's 4am so my family went to bed and security have an order of not asking questions.

Let's just say we had a few incidents with rats that like to snoop around. So anyone who asks questions is a dead man.

I go to my room on the second floor which is right across from Mira's, my little sister. Out of all of us she is the most normal, wants to become a doctor actually. Her and I are different in so many ways. She is calmer, prefers not to fight or kill, loves books. She just turned 19 and she is already a junior in university.

Her and I are the smart ones in the family. Her IQ is 165, mine is 169. She says it's only because she is younger. Just like her I went to college early, I majored in business and politics though. I went to college when I turned 15 and got my masters degree this year. I think that's because my father wanted us to be smart and my brothers strong. Stupid if you ask me.

I majored in business because I knew there is no way out for me from this life, so at least I want to understand it more.

I knock on her door and she says walk in. Her room is a mixture of white and nude pink, she has that kind of aesthetic. She absolutely hates neon pink though.

I think my favorite thing about my sis is that she looks like an angel but can kill without any hesitation.

Mira is 5'5, a little shorter than I am, skinny but very pretty. She inherited our moms bright green eyes. And as always she was surrounded by books. I knew she was awake because this is the only time she can be with Tia without worrying about our family seeing her.

I'm pretty sure they will accept her coming out, but she isn't ready yet and I respect that.

"So, who did you kill today?" Tia asked me, she is one of the only people who know what I do. That's actually how she met Mira.

I have some sort of an assassin club which consists of 4 people. Me, Allie, Selene and Tia.

Tia is like me, she is a combat specialist, prefers guns though. Can shoot a target from 200 feet with her eyes closed. At least that's the rumor about her. But I think her true talent is being the most sarcastic bitch ever. She has a comeback for anything at any time. A true gift.

Sometimes I wonder how my sister can date her, but I guess they are good for each other.

Selene's specialty is hacking. Anything related to computers is for her. She breaks into pentagon on daily bases just for fun and see if they got any interesting news. It takes her like 3 minutes. My father pays her to keep our security up to dateand hack into others, that's how I met her. She looks the most sane out of all of us, but she isn't.

She once beat up a guy to death with a baseball bat while screaming something in the lines of "do you know how hard it is to maintain my curls, the amount of product I have to put in to make them look pretty just for you to destroy it." After seeing that I decided not to test my luck and never touch her hair.

Allie is a Pyro. She was trapped in a house fire when she was a kid, her parents died in it. Even though there was a suspicion that they didn't die from the fire... To be honest, I think she set it. Her parents weren't great. She is kind of a psychopath. My dad recruited her when she was 15. He said 'she has a gift from the devil'.

At first they didn't know I am Luna, but with time I told them and it got much easier for me too. Mira found out when she wanted to "borrow" my dress and found my wig and outfit. She kept my secret tho.

"Some guy who owns the casino, nothing special to be honest. What are you up to?"

"I have a med exam tomorrow, so studying for it." Mira said.

"You know you have to open books when you study, not just lay them out on your bed" I said laughing and she just gave me Imma kill you look. "I'm going to go to bed."

"Okay, try not to murder anyone in your sleep."

That actually happened before....

My room was silver and purple, my favorite colors. Somehow that helped me sleep. I had a king size bed, just like all of us. It was a big room with a private bathroom and huge walk in closet. Perks of being rich I guess.

I went to take a shower to wash off all the blood and evidence and changed into my comfortable pjs.

Sometimes I watch memes before falling asleep, or hookup with someone, but I'm too exhausted today. I was quite productive.

Killing takes a lot of energy.

I'm never too tired to have a snack though. I got annoyed constantly going to the kitchen to get one, so I made a snack drawer.

Pretzels. Sounds like a great midnight snack.  Or a 4am snack.
