Astralea's POV

It was quite easy to get Mad Hatter. Selene did facial recognition fast, we tracked him later on the was to his house and stopped him. He was also drunk so that helped.

Idiot didn't even think to call for help or backup, and had only 6 men with him. Too easy in my opinion, but I am too focused on what Jase said. And in how much shit I am now.

We sedated Mad Hatter who's actual name is Gunter, pronounced as Goontar, I'm not feeling that name so i'm staying with Hatter.

Flight home was quiet, Enzo tried to ask me more questions, but part of me didn't want to answer.

What if he is a traitor, but I don't trust him fully, I do trust my family so is it possible that one of them is. Who can I actually trust?

Nex. I can trust him. Out of everyone, him.

As soon as we got back they took Hatter to the basement. He is going to be sedated for another few hours so torture is postponed. Nex and Rio are very excited though.

And they call me crazy...

Those two bonded over best ways of torturing and killing a man. And Nex is a pro at knives, Rio at guns, they complete each other.

We all ended up having a dinner, father asked me everything that I have learned, I had to respond this time and basically quoted Akela, who to be honest is quite attractive.

Adron started talking about plans, I completely zoned out. But I can use this moment in my benefit. I just came back from a ball with a lot of people, I won't have to pinpoint so-

"Have any of you heard about Vipers?" I spoke and immediately regretted my decision.

Father, Alessandro, Adron and Enzo froze, looking at me. Everyone else is confused clearly not knowing shit.

"Why?" Father asked.

"At the ball, I hears some men talking about Vipers and their potential involvement. " boom, perfect cover up. Hopefully they will buy it.

"I doubt they are." Alessandro said. Well shit, I can't push it forward, I dont want to raise suspicion. I guess I will find some other way.

"I've never heard of them either, who are they." Thank God Rio got curious.

They looked at each other, deciding whether or not to tell, Alessandro and dad nod, looking at Adron and Enzo.

"They are more of a myth. " Adron spoke, "no one knows who they are or where they came from, some even think they aren't real."

"But they are." Enzo continued. "People that meet them don't survive usually. They are extremely powerful. I heard there are two leaders, they have multiple nicknames, the ones I heard the most are Ghost and Wolf. They kill and kidnap, don't really know why. I don't think anyone does."

"There is a saying though." Adron said, "if you receive one card from Vipers, run and hide, if you receive the second one, say goodbye, because when they give you the third one, you will be gone."
