Like an angel

ARIZONA POV
When the ambulance arrived I went with the pregnant women. Amelia, Callie and April went with me. We were scrubbing in now.

"How do you see it Arizona?" April asked
"There is now way I can and want to take the baby out. She is kinda lucky she raptured only her appendix. But her fetus isn't doing well. You guys?"
"Her knee is totally raptured and her hand is broken so I need to fix it." Callie said
"She had a brain bleed. It is not looking good tho." Amelia said
"I will help you with that appendix." April said and we went in.

One of the inters came and told us that father died.

We were in the OR for hour and she started coding. Amelia, Callie and April started arguing about what to do next. I just sat there and thought about what to do, but they were still arguing and I had enough. They were acting like children. I don't yell that often, but when it is enough it's enough.

"Everybody stop talking now. She lost a husband and the baby father and you are arguing here like a children." I said loudly and they stopped talking and looked at me.
"We will do it by the most logic way. Callie can you do the knee after Amelia will stop the bleeding?" I asked
"I think so." Callie said
"Amelia, I think she can handle me working on the fetal and April working finishing the appendix while you are working on her brain. What do you think?" I said
"I think it's the only way." She said and we nodded and continued working.

We were half way through it and I saw Amelia struggling.
"Anne can you please put on the radio?" I asked and everybody looked at me
"What are you doing?" Amelia asked
"Trust me." I said and Anne did as I told her. She put on *NSYNC bye, bye, bye, because it was the thing Amelia would listen to when she would feel in stress. I hated it.
"No way Arizona." Amelia said and me and April laughed
"I know you Shepard. And this is the only time I am listening to it voluntarily." I said and she threw a face at me
"I remember the first time I saw you. The first week I saw you, I thought you will be all blonde, perky, pinky girl. But you were scary and high all the time." Amelia said and everyone laughed
"Hey." I said
"You smoked marijuana?" Callie asked surprisingly
"Just occasionally." I said and Amelia let go small laugh
"What?" I asked
"If you have seen here Dr.Robins and her blonde curls matching her red eyes." Amelia said
"Hey that's not fair. I had to listen every morning these crappy songs." I said
"You two are surprising." Callie said
"The students on the door next to you, must have been so happy, have you two in a same room as a roommates." April said and me and Amelia exchanged looks
"Yeah. We never were roommates. It just happened for us being in the same room every morning." I said and April threw eyes at me
"You are so funny Dr. Sweetheart." April said
"Thank you Dr. Party." I said and we laughed
"Annnd I'm done here." Amelia said
"My turn it is." Callie said
"How long do you thing it will take?" Amelia asked me
"I think I need another two or three hours." I said and she nodded
"I need to pick up Char from Mer's." Amelia said
"Okay. I will be home in like 4 hours if everything goes well." I said
"Good luck honey. Bye." She said and walked out of the OR
"So you smoked?" Callie said
"Even ate it." April said
"Let me be." I said defensively
"It was actually not on purpose and it was 2018 only I think." I said
"Yeah that was really funny when Mer was telling me about it. You got all surgeons high." Callie said and April laughed
"It wasn't my fault." I said and we laughed
"I wasn't that high. I had only two cookies." I said
"You have really small tolerance. You are drunk after two glasses of wine." Callie said
"After three." I said
"I would really wanted to know you at med school." Callie said
"You wish." I said and we laughed

After two hours I was done so were the girls.

"Good job. Thank you everybody." I said and we went to scrub out

After we scrubbed out April was paged and me and Callie went to the attending lounge.
"Thank you for today Calliope." I said and she looked at me
"Of course." She said and I went home

I thought a lot about all the stuff that are going on, on the way home. With that women today, her husband died. Anything can happen anytime. Sometimes I don't wanna think about stuff and just do them.

I arrived home and went in.
"I'm home." I said and Sof was in the kitchen
"Hi mom. Amelia is up bathing Charlotte. How did the surgery go?" Sof asked
"Okay. It went great after all. Amelia, your mama and April did great job. And of course me." I said and kissed her forehead
"That's great." Sofia said and I could tell she was sad
"How was school?" I asked, hopefully she will open
"It was okay, no, not actually." She said
"Are you okay?" I asked and sat next to her
"So I have been talking with this one guy from upper class and he's seemed like a normal boy you know. But today I saw him with one girl making out. But I can't blame him. She was pretty." Sofia said as tears ran down her face. I hugged her and hold her.
"Sofia that boy is a jerk. You are amazing girl and if he can't see that, it is his loose. You are so beautiful, so don't you ever not think about yourself as a not pretty. After all you biological parents are Mark and Callie." I said and she laughed
"I know you will probably think it is not true, because I'm just your mom." I said and she looked up
"You are more than just my mom. And from you I got the beauty of your soul." Sof said and I smiled at her
"Exactly." I said and we laughed
"What do we got for dinner? I'm starving." I said
"Mexican." Sof said and gave me the plate
"Thank you." I said and Amelia came in
"Charlotte said she won't sleep if her mommy won't read her a story." Amelia said and I stood up
"She is a stubborn kid."Sof said
"Just like her mother." Amelia said and I kissed her
"I'm not that stubborn." I said and she kissed me back
"Okay."they both said n'sync and I threw face at them. I went upstairs to Char's room.

"Hi honey. Mommy said you wanna read a story." I said and closed the door
"And cuddle." She said and I laughed
"Okay. What story do you want?" I asked and she pointed at the pink book
"Okay. So Cinderella it is" i said and laid next to her
"You look like a Cinderella. Like an angel." She said and I laughed
"Thank you. You are really pretty too." I said and she smiled
"I know." She said I laughed

I started reading that story and she fell asleep after like three pages. I kissed her on forehead and went down. There was Amelia in the kitchen and Sofia was probably preparing for school.

"So our daughter told me I look like Cinderella." I said and she smiled
"Cinderella could cook." She said and we laughed
"You are right." I said and sat next to her
"Did everything go well after I left?" Amelia asked
"Yeah. I'm sorry I was mean." I said
"It kinda turned me on." Amelia said and I smirked
"Do you wanna take a bath?" I asked and she nodded and we went upstairs to out room.

We were in the bathtub for like 15 minutes and were exchanging glances.
"What?" She asked
"Let's get married this week." I said
"What?" She asked
"Yeah. I don't wanna wait. I don't wanna have big wedding. I wanna have wedding for us not for the people. I just want to be me, you, Sof and Char. Okay and maybe our friends, because the would not forgive us. I wanna marry you at the hospital and then just go to ours and have fun." I said and she smiled
"That's all I want." She said and I smiled
"Let's marry 24th. It will be on Christmas eve. It will be perfect." She said
"In three days. Perfect." I said and we just smiled at each other

It will be amazing.
