The sun had started to rise illuming the sky with hazy oranges and faint blues as the three Pogues had finally made it to Charleston.
"Wonder where Sarah and John B are right now" JJ says gazing out the window.

"They're fancy people. They've had three governors in the family. They've run Charleston for, like, 300 years" Kiara states as they pull up towards the Limbrey house.
"These Kooks make our Kooks look like Pogues" JJ adds.
The street was quite as the truck came to a hault and the three teens stared at the large house.
"You sure this is the place, Pope?" JJ asks still looking at the large building.
"Pretty sure" the dark haired boy replies.
"All right" JJ says getting out of the truck.
"Twenty-seven King Street" Pope states holding up the letter.
"Talk about home security. Are those spikes to keep people out? " JJ mutters looking up at the spiky gate.
"No" Kiara replies.
"The slave quarters are over there. These spikes were to keep people in" Pope states.
The Pogues made it up to the front door as Pope knocked.
"You think that was too much?" the dark haired boy asks stepping back from the door.
"It echoed the entire house. That's for sure. So they definitely heard it" JJ replies.
"—Maybe nobody's home" Kiara mumbles.
Pope knocked again but the door soon opened and the dark haired boy stepped back.
A scruffy looking man opened the door eyeing the three teens.
"You must be Pope" the man says pointing towards the dark haired boy.
"Um... Are you Mr. Limbrey?" Pope asks uncertainly.
"Ms. Limbreywas expecting you yesterday" the man replies.
"Oh. I'm... I'm sorry. My car broke down on the way up here. " Pope states.
"Carburetor blew up in the middle of Nowheresville" JJ adds.
He gives the blond haired boy a look.
"Yeah, she was uh, real upset when you didn't show up" the man replies directing his words back towards Pope.
"We tried to call, but there was no number on the invitation. We got here as fast as we could" Kiara says flatly.
"—She also expected you to come alone" the man shot back.
