A/N: Ok I know this book is fast-paced and I haven't highlighted on the relationship between Kaito Kuroba and the Reader as much as I should have. But this chapter will still be a chapter and filler that takes place around in between Chapter 5 & 6. These are the adventures of Kaitou KID without the mask - as Kaito Kuroba. along with the reader.

"A day at the beach?", Kaito jumped from his seat. Ahoko had suggested taking Kaitou, Hakuba, Akako and you to the beach. Everyone else agreed, Aoko was just asking Kaito if he wanted to come along with. "No way! You know how much I loathe fish! What makes you think I'll get near a beach full of them?!", Kaito shrieked. Aoko slapped Kaito upside the head to calm him down. On his head was a visible bump that made you laugh. "Ah, y/n! You'll be coming to the beach too, right?", Aoko asked while twisting Kaito's ear. You nodded but looked solemnly down to the desk. "What's wrong?", Akako walked to stand near your's and Kaito's desk and asked. You shook your head and laughed nervously. "I just don't have a swimsuit, that's all..", you mumbled shyly. Aoko had stars in her eyes. "Don't worry y/n! Leave everything to me! We can shop for a pair today after classes!", Aoko said and Akako also wanted to buy a pair. So it was settled. The three of you will go shopping later for swimsuits.

'Seeing y/n in a swimsuit..', Kaito thought of what you'd look like. He blushed as his mind wandered down the gutter but Hakuba cleared his throat which snapped Kaito out of his daydream. Kaito turned to see Hakuba talking to- no. FLIRTING WITH YOU. Kaito so did not want Hakuba and you to get close. So swallowing his pride and fear of fish, he reluctantly agreed to meet his friends at the beach tomorrow.

"Ah.. Kaito?", Hakuba called out confused seeing Kaito cradling himself on a beach towel underneath an umbrella and far away from the water. "Kaito, you really need to relax. The fish are in deeper water. They're not going to be near the shore", Hakuba tried to make Kaito see the brighter side of things but Kaito remained paralysed in his position. His phobia runs deep it seems.

"Sorry we girls are late!', Aoko said running up to the boys with you and Akako following behind.

Kaito peeked from his cradled position to see you. You wore a normal t-shirt with shorts. 'And here I thought Ahoko would dress y/n into a bikini like her and Akako', Kaito sighed defeatedly at his thoughts. Akako was wearing a black bikini with dark purple floral designs while Aoko wore a simple pink frilly two-piece.

"Gosh! y/n! Why aren't you wearing the bikini I picked out for you?!", Aoko huffed with a pout. Hakuba admired how Aoko looked with her cute swimsuit. This little detective has a crush as well. Akako the witch of love sense this. Hakuba and Aoko as well as Kaito and y/n. She really wanted to tease the boys because the girls were clueless but also secretly crush on the said boys back. Akako knew you were hiding your swimsuit because it showed too much skin but at least you were wearing it inside your clothes.

"y/n why don't you change out of your clothes? You're clearing wear your swim-wear inside", Akako stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world. You flinched as the attention was now on you. Kaito peaked again at the commotion being made until he saw that Aoko stripped off your shorts and Akako had your T-shirt in her hand.

You looked drop-dead gorgeous. Kaito's gaze never left your body. You were wearing an f/c bikini with straps that criss-cross on your back with the bottom being held together by two silver rings, one on each side of your hips. You blushed embarrassed that your skin was exposed. Your eyes wondered anywhere but looking at your friends. But your eye's still somehow managed to make contact with Kaito. He flustered immediately. 'Aoko this is a blessing!', Kaito teared up in his thoughts but the blood dripping down his nose was another story.

"BAKAITO?!?!", Aoko shrieked when Kaito passed out.
"I think we killed him", Akako laughed out, and Hakuba facepalmed.

You were shocked but since your outfit didn't come with a warning and the fact that Aoko and Hakuba wanted to play in the water left you alone with Kaito to look after. Akako said she was going to find ingredients- shells. Yes, pick up unique shells that wouldn't surface every 10 years!

Kaito was still unconscious and you felt bad that you were the cause. You picked his head up and placed it on your lap. You took tissues to wipe the blood. A few minutes pass and Kaito was starting to wake up. When he awoke, he felt his hair being ruffled and played with. It felt really good, so he sighed in content and let it continue. He opens his eyes fully this time and sees that you were the one playing with his hair so gently. He blushed and woke up from your lap and hit your head, doing so.

"Ow Ow..y/n? Are you ok?", Kaito held his head but then realised you were also hurt. You rubbed your head and looked at Kaito - to let him know you're fine. After an awkward silence, you both laugh. Pink coating your cheeks and tears at the corner of both your eyes.

"Haha, want to build a sandcastle with me?", you offered and Kaito decided to as well. When he stood up to get the bucket and shovels, you noticed his muscular physique. He had light muscle on him. He was fit and lean but still had this masculine feel on him. He looked good in his swim shorts. You smile getting up with him and dig up sand to construct a sandcastle. Akako returned and lent a few ordinary seashells that she collected. She then went to sit underneath the umbrella and relax. Aoko and Hakuba were still playing in the water.

After finished building a sandcastle, the two of you decided to take a stroll. Akako was watching everyones things. As thanks, you told Kaito that the both of you should buy some drinks for everyone. You had your purse so you were going to pay but Kaito had it covered and paid for everyone's drinks.

y/n: You shouldn't have-

Kaito: It's the gentlemanly thing to do~

Kaito winked and you giggled. They both decided to get back to their friends and dropped off the drinks in the cooler you brought. Akako waved you off with Kaito to spend some time together and you both continued walking by the shore with taking occasional sips of your drinks. You had a peach ice tea while Kaito had gotten just water for himself. You both shared stories and laughs. Kaito took your hand in his as he spun you around and now held you by the waist. The sun was setting and at that moment the both of you couldn't help gazing into each other's eyes. It felt magical. Kaito caressed your face with one of his hands as the other continued to hold you by the waist. You smile and leaned into his touch.

"Hey, Guys! We're about to bust some fireworks! Come on!', Aoko hollered and broke the mood you both had. You both shuffled awkwardly but Kaito then grabbed your hand and led you to the rest of your friends. You both laugh running towards them and bust fireworks and play with sparklers.

At the end of the night, Kaito walked you home. He let you borrow his jacket. Before he let go of your hand so that you can get to the apartment. He kissed your hand and made a white rose appear out of it.

But that was not all that appeared from him as he tucked an f/c f/fw behind your ear that seemed to enhance your beauty.
