"It seems like it's almost time", Conan glanced at you after checking his watch. "I wonder..what kind of magic he'll show me tonight", you smiled whilst looking at the moon.

Conan eyed you and cautiously asked, "Are you sure your plan will work?". You hummed out a yes and continued to gaze at the moon awaiting for KID to make his appearance. The count down had begun and could be heard from his fans that surrounded the museum.

5..., 4.., 3.., 2.., 1.

Appearing atop the museum was Kaitou KID, the thief under the moonlight. "Ladies and Gentlemen! A special shout-out to the new detective in town! The show will now commence. Will you be able to catch me? My dear Code-8 Ace-chan?", as quick as he was seen, he was gone with a puff of smoke. And his destination was definitely where the Dark Moon Diamond resided.

You were already at the location with the diamond in your hand, however. Kaitou did not expect you to pull a fast one on him. He thought he gathered enough intel disguised as a police officer. 'Guess she's an unpredictable one too', Kaitou smirked now that he was face-to-face with you and Conan had him cornered from behind with his tranquilliser. "You're cornered now, KID-san!", Conan said. He can't believe your plan went smoothly. "Ah, Meitantei. Lovely to see you again", Kaitou bowed like a gentleman. "My, where is Nakamori-keibu? And the Dark Moon?", Kaitou looked surprised, seeing as how Nakamori didn't show up anywhere let alone at the ready to catch him. "Kaitou KID...it seems this is almost checkmate, I suggest you make this easier and surrender", you state with your very own poker face. Kaitou couldn't make out any hints from your expressions. The vents were blocked and only a single window was open. 'It has to be another trap', he thought. "Bingo", Kaitou was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard you. Looking confused you elaborated to both the boys. "I see you've realised that the only window open would lead to your ultimate capture", Conan looked confused at you. You both never planned such a thing. Are you perhaps deceiving KID into suspicion that the window is a trap? Well, it's official. 'y/n-chan is amazing', Conan thought.

Kaitou laughed and shook his head. "It seems you've bested me, Code-8 Detective Ace of London". You chuckled, "Not at all, you're not behind bars yet".

"Indeed, and I'd like for it to stay that way, my dear", Kaitou winked which had you internally screaming. 'Did he..just? He's flirtatious in general! Don't mind it... Looks like I'll repay him the favour'. You walked towards him and swiftly yanked at his tie. Neither Conan or Kaitou expected this. "I was hoping you'd show me something extraordinary tonight..do I have you flustered? Kaitou-san?", you smirked as your noses almost touched, and from Conan's angle, he looked to be extremely flustered. Kaitou was surprised that he nearly dropped his poker face. His heart was beating rapidly and his breathing became uneven. If he could lean more, your lips would already be on his. His breath hitched as you leaned closer. Your lips just barely grazing his. "Won't you show me? my magician thief?", Kaitou had his eyes half-lidded, he just wanted to taste. Only just a taste..

If it wasn't for Conan stuttering embarrassed, Kaitou wouldn't have snapped out of his trance. "Seducing me now, are we? Well, my dear..I plan on not only taking the Dark Moon but you tonight as well", he whispered, biting his lip. Your eyes widened. That sounded really.. suggestive.

Being caught off guard was his ticket out of here as he swiftly picked you up bridal style and jumped out of the open window. Conan rushed towards you both but was too late. Both you and KID were now flying- with him holding you in his arms. "So you were deceiving me then? I see no one to catch me", a clang was heard and KID looked down at you. You had cuffed his hand with yours. "I stand corrected", he says and you smile raising a brow. "How did you know?", you asked bewildered. "To what are you referring to, my dear?", he asked slightly confused. "How did you know that I had the Dark Moon?..its the only other reason for taking me, correct?", you explain. "It was just a coincidence that I saw it in your pocket...but I really did plan to sweep you off your feet and steal you for the night", he flashed you his signature smile. Your heart began to beat faster than before. 'What is this feeling?', you thought, using your cuffed arm to hold your chest. Kaitou seemed to fluster immediately, seeing as how you're both cuffed and his hand also being on your chest.

They flew far from the museum and into the alleyway you both met at.

y/n: Is this our meeting spot now?

Kaitou Kid: It might as well be..

Both you and KID chuckled. He placed you on his lap, wrapping his arms around you as he hugged you from behind.

"You know...I wouldn't let just anyone touch me the way you are right now", you said nonchalantly looking up at the moon from the narrow alleyway.

"Believe it or not, I have fallen in love with you, l/n f/n", he confessed as he kissed your cheek. Your demeanor hadn't changed so Kaitou assumed it was alright. Meanwhile, your heart sped up like sonic going wild. You couldn't comprehend how illogical this is. You're the detective and he the thief. This should be forbidden and regarded as taboo!

"I'm not sure I can answer you, KID-san", you mumbled into the crook of his neck. Your body betraying what you should actually feel.

"This isn't logically wise-".

"Logic is not the matter of the heart"

Kaitou cut you off. His words echo endlessly in your mind now. Logic is not a matter of the heart? You need proof, statistics, facts..otherwise, you can't accept it.

"Explain..", you uttered, curious yet also longing for an objective answer. Kaitou began to explain and the best way possible was through examples.

"Like love at first sight..there's no logic behind it..it's all about taking a leap of faith", he tucked the strands of hair behind your ear and caressed your face gently. Both of yours and Kaitou's cheeks turning a pink hue.

Obviously, they should have kissed.

Unfortunately, the police sirens were getting closer. Conan had installed a tracker on you and so was tracing your whereabouts with KID. Realising that they were getting closer- Kaitou was about to leave until Conan was at the end of the alleyway and shot a tranquillising dart. It missed Kaitou and hit his spectacle eye-piece which fell to the ground. "I guess we can't meet here anymore, my dear", Kaitou whispered trying to hide his face more. "Mentantei~ Ruining the moment like always", KID said aloud with a sigh at the end and turned to the familiar dead-end of the alleyway. "You're trapped, KID! Give me back y/n and the diamond!", Conan exclaimed. KID laughed as he held the diamond up to the moon. You searched your pockets and surely enough KID had taken the diamond. 'It must have happened when he hugged me from behind', you thought. Meanwhile, Kaitou confirmed that the diamond wasn't encasing pandora. Turning around to face you and Conan he made sure to pull his tophat down to cover his eyes. "Well, this isn't what I'm looking for, sorry for the trouble, Meitantei, Ace", he curtsied in a gentlemen bow and said his goodbye- vanishing in a blink of an eye.

Conan rushed up beside you to see if you were alright. You bent down to pick up KID's eye-piece and stared at it. When you bend down though, out from your pocket came rolling out the Dark Moon Diamond. Conan grabbed onto it for safekeeping while you analysed KID's eye-wear. You put it in your pocket and walked with Conan back to the museum to give the diamond back.

"It seems you do live up to your name..Ace", Conan smirked and you laughed a little.
"Oh please, if I'm the Ace then Kaitou is most definitely the Joker", it was your turn to smirk as a job well done was in order. But you couldn't help but want to broad of the mysterious magician thief. You're getting closer to discovering who he is. You grab the eye-wear inside your pocket securely.

'This must be a clue'.
