3 days later.
Kenadi laid in Zaylon's bed, leaning on the headboard as he slept on the side of her, and Pooter on the other side.
The three of them hadn't been away from each other since the night they left the hospital.
They had decided not to have a funeral for Comethazine, he'd always said he didn't want one. Especially since the only people who really knew him, were them.
They were throwing a block party for him today, just to have a memorial for him. The hood always showed love to Comethazine, ever since he had begun rapping. So they decided to throw a get together for everyone to come to.
Kenadi knew Nadira would hurt the worse when she finally woke up, she didn't even get to see his body or say her goodbyes at the small viewing they had for him before he was buried.
Kenadi stood out of the bed, careful not to wake Zaylon and Deontae up, walking to the bathroom.
Her phone rung, and she blocked the 20th unknown number that she was sure was David. She didn't even feel like talking to anybody at the moment. She didn't need him stressing her out at a time like this.
He called again, and she sighed, walking out of Zaylon's room after brushing her teeth and answering it.
"David, I really don't wanna talk right now." Her voice was raspy from crying too much.
"Kenadi, I'm sorry bout yo friend mama." He mumbled in the phone, and tears brimmed in her eyes, as she put her face in her hands.
"Can I come talk to you?" He asked, and she shook her head even though he couldn't see her.
"No. I don't wanna talk about nothing right now. I told you I'd call you when I was ready. It's too much going on for me right now David." Her leg shook as she wiped her face.
"East come on." Kenadi heard a woman's voice in the background and she chuckled.
"Kena-." He started, and she cut him off, by hanging up the phone.
She leaned back on the couch, folding her legs under her as she silently cried.
Pooter appeared in front of her, and she looked up at him, a pout on her face.
"Stop crying please." His voice rasped, wrapping his arms around her as he sat next to her.
"This shit ain't fair Tae. It's not fair at all." She cried on his shoulder.
"I know baby." He rubbed her back, pulling her on his lap.
"We gone be good Ken Doll. You know he ain't like you crying and shit." Pooter mumbled, and she nodded, wiping her face.
She wrapped her arms around his neck in a hug, kissing the side of his face.
"I love you." She said, and he smiled.
