Destiny intertwined (Gaara X OC)

Chunin Exams Pt.2: Not my place

Getting to the huge gates we are assigned our scrolls. Walking into the forest I feel really wheezy. I feel like I could faint. This place is more intense than I thought.

I can't be here when they all fight Oruchimaru.

"Hey what's wrong Hannah?" Sakura was the one to notice. "N-Nothing. I'm just thinking." I can't let her know. I don't want her to worry more than what she already is. I know how protective she is over Sasuke.

Suddenly I hear screams all around us. This doesn't make my anxiety any better. I think I would feel safer with Gaara but I have to stay with my team. They need me and I need them.

"Hey guys I got to pee." Naruto told us. This is where it starts. Landing we let him go do his thing. He comes back it ain't Naruto. Sasuke notices too. He straight up kicks him. Sakura is shocked by the action.

Both the guys pull out kunais. "Sasuke what are you doing?" Is Sakura really this slow. "Take a look at him. What happened to the scratch on your face?" The imposter is in shock. He forgot the scratch on Naruto's cheek. "And your shirigan holster in on your left leg. That guy is right handed." Pointing that out I also get out a kunai.

"How unlucky. If that's the case. Which one of you got the scroll?" So he shows himself. "Hannah go look for Naruto. I got this guy." I agree at duck butts request. Looking around I go behind the tree he was at and found him. Cutting him free he is mad.

Sasuke finishes the fight. We all get back together. Sitting down we all have a meeting. "If there is an instance that we become separated, don't trust anyone who looks like your teammate." Sasuke starts off the meeting. "Ok what do we do?" Sakura asked. "How about a password?" I make a suggestion. Sasuke was going to say it anyways.

"Password?" Naruto looks at me. "Yeah it will only be between us so." I explain. Agreeing on something a gust of wind suddenly happens. "No not yet!" I talk to myself. This is going to be the rough part.

We all got separated. I'll let both Sakura and Naruto help Sasuke. I'm not trying to be mean but I can't be apart of this. I just go from tree to tree. Getting to a good area I look around. My eyes move down and I find Hinata. Jumping down I land next to the three.

They all seem to be startled. "Yo." Smiling I throw up a peace sign. "What are you doing here?" Kiba was the one to ask me. "Well my team is in a fight that I really can't be in." They look at me with shame. "Look I'm not doing it because I want too. I can't mess with the fight. I'm afraid that I'll mess something up. Hinata you know my situation."

I look to my friend. She just nods understanding. Hearing a noise we all turn to the maker of it. Peaking out from the bush Gaara was standing there with his siblings. Hearts appear in my eyes. This boy could always get a reaction out of me.

He deals with the three guys killing them. I am still in my daze while everyone else runs. "I know your there." He breaks me out of my daydream. Standing up I look like a groundhog. "Hannah! What are you doing here?" Temari was the most excited one. "Doing my own thing. Peeking on people. You know ninja stuff." We laugh together.

"Could I hang with you guys? I know it's a lot to ask but my team is in a fight that I can't be apart of." My eyes turn into puppy eyes. Placing my hands in front of me I look at the boys. I already know Temari is for it. "Well for a cute expression like that..." Gaara hits Kankuro in the gut.

"Come on Hannah! We got so much to talk about." Temari takes my arm and starts to head to the river. Gaara and Kankuro follow us. Sitting down on the edge of the river I take off my shoes and stick my feet in the water. Temari joins me. I feel a pressure on my back. Turning around I see Gaara leaning against me. His gourd off his back.

Pink dust my cheeks as a small smile comes to my face. Just this little touch makes me happy. I see his hand is next to him. He has it hidden where his siblings can't see it. Leaning on my hand as well they both somehow gravitate towards each other. Slowly intertwining our fingers together I feel so happy. He is so warm.

Gaara's P.O.V

I feel at peace right now. Relaxing here with my siblings and Hannah. Our backs are to each other but the company is nice. I will never admit it though. I feel her move. I look down to see her hand so close to mine. Looking straight back I move my hand. Her is moving as well. As soon as they touch I can feel her warmth.

While my siblings aren't paying attention she moves next to me. Bringing our hands up she starts to play with them. "What are you thinking?" This is the only girl who can get me to talk. "Just how warm you are. And how big your hands are compared to mine." I can see pink on her cheeks.

While we were talking quietly Temari is planning our wedding in her head. Gushing at how cute we are. She even noticed how calm I act around this girl.

I think back to the conversation we had in the classroom.  "Gaara... you are no monster. You never were. You are a boy who is lonely and misunderstood. You are just as human as I am."

"Gaara I wish you could understand that the feeling you hold are the same as mine. You may not see me as someone special, but to me you are very special. I knew this since I first saw you. But if you want me to stay away then I will."

Turning my head I look at her. "You're special to me too. And about staying away from me. Don't." I whisper as she stares at me with her bright blue eyes. "I won't. I wouldn't have listened anyways. Because you are worth fighting for. You are my nindo. You are my ninja way."

"Are you scared of me? Aren't you scared that I'll kill you like those people?" I already know the answer. "No I'm not scared one bit because I know you won't hurt me."
