Blood Thrusty

Watching the matches one by one Temari just finished hers. Coming back up I greet her with her brother Kankuro. Gaara was watching the battles with blood lust eyes. Even I can tell he is unstable at this point. He wants to kill since he didn't get to kill Lee. "Next match will be between Sauske Uchiha and Gaara." Hearing this I look over at the said boy. His face is crazy. "Okay listen Gaara! Don't let him throw off the plan!" Covering his mouth Temari whispers to him. "Now's not the time to talk to him. Not unless you want to be killed."

Temari is right. I can't even talk to him without getting the look as if he wants to kill me. But he said he won't kill me. He said I'm to important to him. Having this in mind he walks over to us and descend down the stairs. He doesn't look at us or anything. I can already hear those two men screaming from their deaths. I can see Naruto and Shikamaru faces. The look of horror.

"Naruto, are you okay?" Walking up to him, he comes out of his shock. "How?" He starts to grit his teeth from anger. "How can you like a guy like that!? He is a monster, Hannah!" Now it's my turn to get mad. Pushing Naruto off me, I clenched my fist.

"He is no monster, Naruto! He is just misunderstood! You, of all people, should know that! You were in the same situation he is in." The last sentence I whisper. I hate bringing up his past but it's what I have to do.

"You were alone and hated by everyone once. Gaara is in the same boat. All he has is his siblings Naruto. You have friends. You have people who accept you. Gaara doesn't have that yet, or so he thinks."

"Hannah..." Calling my name, I look at Temari. "What I said is true. Everyone else is afraid of him, but I'm not. I like him a lot, and I will stay by him." Temari is brought to tears. Running at me, she hugs me. "Gaara is so lucky he has you."

"I'm lucky to have him and you guys as well." Hugging back, I am so happy. Breaking apart, we look back to the arena. Sasuke would, of course, be late with Kakashi Sensei.

The following events I better hide. It isn't my place to be here. It's up to Naruto.

Understanding the situation, I agree with my thoughts. "Hey, Temari." Whispering to her, she gets close to me. "When this plan of yours takes place I'm going to go hide." Her eyes widen. She then calms down once she remembers. "I'm staying out of this fight. It's not my place to be in it. I'll meet you guys at the end, though."

Biting my nail, I start to get nervous. "Are you sure?" Nodding, I watch the fight begin. Through the training, Sasuke got faster. He is as quick as Lee now.

Since Sasuke is getting hits in Gaara puts a sand shield around him. This is where he starts the Shukaku transformation, only to get interrupted by Sasuke's Chidori. "BLOOOOOOOD!" This is my Que to leave. Hearing him yell, I run to Naruto. "Take care of Gaara. I'm going to hide! You know why!"

Running down the steps, I run to Iruka sensei. That is when all hell broke loose. "Iruka Sensei!" Running to the classroom, he is taken back into surprise to see me here. "The village is under attack. We have to get the kids to safety!" Taking action, we have them line up.

"Hannah, I need you to tell me what is going on!" Iruka's voice drops. He is the only other one who knows that I come from another dimension. I have trusted him since he did train me some in that month we were off. "I can't explain, but I already told the Hokage everything."

I indeed talked to Lord Hokage. I know I shouldn't have, but I did.

Flashback:
"Sir, I know it's not my place, and it may change things, but the village will be attached the day we hold the last Chunin exams." Telling him, he nods. He seems to understand where I am coming from.

"Do you know who is behind it? Nodding, I look down. "I do, but I can't tell you. But sir, I must worn you, you will die." Sighing, he stood. "I knew the day would come. Thank you, Hannah. You did the right thing."
End of flashback:

Making sure the kids are safe, I now go to the place where Gaara and Naruto end the fight. Waiting, I finally see the boys. Hiding behind a tree, I see Naruto hitting Gaara to wake him up, breaking the Shukaku transformation.

Watching them fall, Naruto gets one last hit in. Landing on the ground they both can't move. Naruto starts to move to Gaara. "No! Stay away!" Naruto doesn't listen. He keeps going to him. Just watching it, I think about both their past.

"It's unbearable, isn't it? The feeling of being all alone. I know that feeling. I been there in that dark and lonely place, but now there are others. Other people who mean a lot to me."

Naruto...

"I care about them more than I do myself, and I won't let anyone hurt them. That is why I have to stop you, even if I have to kill you." Tears start to come out of my eyes. I feel so bad for these two boys. Everyone has a rough past but these two... These two got the worst of it.

"But why? Why would you do this for anyone but yourself?" He still doesn't understand? He should know. He does know because he has shown it to me. "Because they have saved me from myself. They have rescued me from my loneliness. They were the first to accept me for who I am. They are my friends."

Gripping the tree tight this is way more emotional in real life. "Gaara you know what love is." Whispering, I want to run to him, and that is what I did.

Making it over to him, Sasuke shows at the same time. "Gaara..." Whispering to him, he looks at me. "Hannah..." Whispering back, he moves his hand to my cheek. "Please, you shouldn't move." Adjusting him, I place his head on my lap.

"I finally know what love is. It's the desire to protect someone precious. While we were together before I realized that I want to protect you." More tears pour out. This wasn't in the show, but it's still so touching. "Gaara... I want to protect you too."

I don't think. My body moves on its own. Kissing him, he kisses back. Temari and Kankuro show up after we break apart. They just glare at Sasuke.

"That's enough. It's over." He doesn't even look at them. He just looks at me. "But Gaara." Petting his red hair, I can only smile. "Alright, Gaara." Taking him from me I stand as well. "Take good care of him for me." Telling the two Tamari smiles. "Anything for you Hannah."

Looking at Gaara one last time I kiss his cheek. After I did that they left. Walking over to Naruto and Sasuke I help get him up.
