Chunin exams pt 3: Gaara vs Rock Lee

The matches came and gone, but now it's Gaara and Lee's turn. Gaara and Lee are face to face in the arena. "If you two are ready. Begin." The Proctor starts the match. Lee is running towards Gaara. "Leaf hurricane!" Yelling he jumps as Gaara's sands blocked the blow. With the sand growing Lee done a backflip to avoid it.

The sand goes back to the gored. "W-What is that?" Ino ask. "It's sand." Both Sakura and I answered at the same time. "That's a unusual jutsu." Kakashi states. I look up at him then back to the match.

You have no idea Kakashi.

Going back for more attacks, the sand blocked each one of them. Using a kunai he tries to cut the sand. But no prevail. He was dodging the sand as much as he could.

"Even as fast as he is, Lee can't get anywhere close to him." Sakura watched the match closely. "The sand... He is using it as a shield." Naruto is freaked. "The sand is protecting Gaara of its own accord. It's as if it's a living thing" Kankuro was smiling.

I am worried for Lee. Of course of knowing what already happens I still feel scared for him. Seeing the match in real life vs computer is completely and utterly different.

"Is that all. I hope you haven't finished entertaining me. We haven't had enough blood." Gaara is blood thirsty and the blood he wants is Lee's.

With his sand moving he catches Lee on the leg and sends him flying to the wall. I can hear the smack that comes with it. Still being able to move he goes to attack Gaara more. "I don't get it. Lee is just using Taijutsu. Don't he see that is never going to work. Why don't he get some distance and use ninjutsu or genjutsu?" Sakura ask Guy sensei but I was to into to battle hear the rest.

Moving my hands in front of me. I clench them together. "Gaara... Lee..." As if he can hear me Gaara looks at me. I can see the blood lust in his pretty eyes. But they soon soften when he sees me. Lee ruins it when he goes for another attack. Making him trip Lee moves with persuasion and does a flip up to the giant hands. He is about to take off his training weights with Guys permission first.

When getting the Okay he takes them off. "Ahh that is so much better. Now I can more freely." Dropping the weights they hit the floor and make huge craters. Everyone was freaking out while I stood there with a neutral face.

Both the boys are death glaring each other. Gaara glare held something extra though. A sign of jealousy was in them. I seen it before. The day when Lee asked me and Sakura out.

Watching Lee he makes his pace and he is faster than before. Gaara is even surprised. "GAARA LOOK OUT!" Yelling out to him Lee is kicking every which way trying to break through the sand till he finally got a hit on Gaara. The red head is freaked as he is turning every direction that Lee hit.

After some time Lee finally snagged a hit or kick on Gaara's head. Everyone was shocked. Even I was. He just hit my man what do you expect. "Woah that's scary. He's been that fast all this time?" Naruto is amazed by Lee.

Getting another hit in he punches Gaara in the face. He goes flying to the ground as I clench the railing. "Gaara..." Getting up I can see Gaara's sand coming off of him.

Gaara's POV

How can this guy hit me?

Thinking this my insanity comes through. The sand on my face is coming off as I stare at this weirdo. "Gaara..." Hearing a whisper I look up at that girl. Hannah. She is gripping the railing watching me. Her face looks as if she is going to cry.

Standing up I look back to Lee. I just remembered what I was going to do. I was going to kill him for asking her out. I should show him who she really belongs to.

Sand coming out of my gored it goes on me making my armor stronger.

Hannah's POV

With the new sand surrounding Gaara I can see the crazed look on his face. It soon disappears as his regular face returns. "I don't get it. Is he made of sand or what? All those blows and kicks Lee hit him with... did none get to him at all?" Naruto asks Kankuro as I watched in desperation. "No it's like he's wearing a suit of armor." Kankuro answers back.

"Well is that all?" Hearing his voice I calm down. Just hearing his calm voice just made me relax. But that is short lived when Lee starts to unwrap his wraps.

He is going to do the Hidden Lotus attack!

Going at top speed Lee is running in a circle around Gaara. "What are you waiting for?" Asking Lee he starts his attack. Kicking Gaara under the chin he goes into the air. Continuing the kicking they go higher and higher. I can see the toll it's taking on Lee. Wrapping the wraps around Gaara Lee is right under him. Grabbing him the start to spin heading for the ground. "Now take this! Primary Lotus!" Falling hard in the ground they create a huge crater and when the debris clears up I can see Gaara in it. Already knowing he ain't really there I am relieved since Gaara actually never got hurt.

I head over to Temari. Right now she is the only one who could calm my nerves. I'm nervous but at the same time I'm not. She can reassure me that Gaara will be fine. She smiles at me. That's all I need from her. That little smile.
