Spy camp was over, and we had about a week of break before the new year started. I figured I should use that time to see my parents. (facetime)
"Hi mom, Hi dad!" I grinned as they answered the call.
"Hi honey, how is school?" My mom asked. My dad had a goofy grin on his face after hearing the word 'school'.
"It's fine, after winning over the other side, it has been fun." I spoke as if this was a school competition, if anyone was listening in on our conversation.
"Don't get into too much trouble!" Mom said cheerfully. Then her eyes narrowed. "And I mean it. If you get kicked out of school, or worse..." Mom trailed off, not wanting to say more.
I finished the sentence in my head. "Or worse...killed." Hopefully I could get a good break before a new evil organization comes up, like the ones Murray mentioned, like CRUSH, SKORPION, and the one he made up, ITGA.
Murray. My mom started lecturing me on doing well in school, but I wasn't listening. Murray had finally been captured. After an entire saga of chasing him from SPYDER to Croatoan to him making his own organization, I was happy that he was finally in jail.
"BENJAMIN JAMES RIPLEY!" My mom yelled, tearing away from my thoughts. "ARE YOU NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO ME?"
"I er...of course I was..." I stammered.
Mom didn't seem to believe me. "What did I talk about then?" she asked.
"Uhhhh doing well in school and stuff?" I asked.
Mom glared at me and I knew it wasn't right, and started to shout at me again, when dad butted in.
"Now, now Ivy, don't be too hard on him." he said.
Mom looked like she wanted to argue further, but fell back.
I relaxed on the inside. There wouldn't be too much of a torturing lecture.
Buzz Buzz My phone vibrated as a text came in.
Erica: Get your butts into my room. NOW. This is urgent.
Mike: Ok
Jawa: Ok
Zoe: Okay
Chip: k
Ben: Coming
Sophia: kk
"I gotta go mom, dad, this is urgent." I said into the phone.
"Alright my amazing son." My dad hugged the phone.
"Stay safe honey!" My mom said and blew me a kiss. I hung up and dashed out the door towards Erica's room. What could be so urgent?
I had cleared things out with Zoe, and I guess she was our friend again. I still was a bit cautious around her, but I didn't see anything that was suspicious. I still wasn't sure if she was the bad guy or not. Probably not, but I was still skeptical.
I got to Erica's room and knocked. The door opened immediately, and Erica snatched my shirt and tugged me in.
"Took you long enough." She said.
