Ugh, the weekend has been TOO SHORT. I think I'm too used to winter break :/
Ben POV:
FINALLY. Something to do. We'd been waiting for ages. I knew it was only a couple weeks but it felt like years. I was so anxious that I couldn't focus in class. (Not that I was doing well in the first place) Even Erica seemed to be distracted. She went to the radio room whenever she could until Sophia contacted us, as did I.
But then, one day, I told Mike to go ahead because I had to get something, and Erica was there, speaking with Sophia. They seemed to be arguing a bit. I asked Mike what was going on, as he had arrived a minute before me.
"Did we miss anything?" I asked.
Mike grinned, saying "From what I picked up, Erica doesn't know something for once!"
"Really?" I asked. I couldn't believe that my girlfriend didn't know something. She seemed always to know everything, but hey, anything is possible. "What is it?"
"Somethings called chi-blocking." Mike answered.
I grinned. I knew what that was. I never learned it, nor have I searched it up, but I've watched Avatar: The last airbender before, when I was 10. "Wow Erica," I teased. "I didn't think that was possible."
"We're getting off topic." Erica said, and I knew she was trying to change the subject.
Mike giggled. "The ice queen doesn't know something for on- oof!" He said as Erica punched him in the stomach.
"So," Erica continued. "How do we get in?"
Sophia explained all of the defenses that BLISTER had. I got more and more nervous at each thing she was listing. Lasers, guards, drones, and more. Sophia said she wouldn't house us in her room, as that could cause suspicion. She had a friend over every now and then. I immediately had a pang of guilt. I don't know why, since it wasn't my fault, but Sophia was going to betray her friend. Which no one wants to go through.
"Do you have any ideas what BLISTER might be planning?" I asked.
"No. They haven't let me in on any of their plans." Sophia answered. "To them, I'm still a student and a newbie."
Ugh. This just made everything 2 times harder.
Timeskip:
We were leaving now. Going to Hawaii took time. We also carefully planned on how to get there. BLISTER had to have security cameras and drones around the island they owned. It was a private, small island that no one ever went to anyway. And that's how I found myself face to face with a hammerhead shark.
