Sorry I didn't update last week, I've been really busy with having basketball nearly every day of the week.
Erica POV:
Sophia said goodbye and left us there with a map and instructions. This should be easy.
"Come on, let's go." I said. Ben and Mike are slow, they took forever to get in the chute. But they're valuable aspects. And Ben is my sort of boyfriend. I'm sure he thinks that I'm his girlfriend but I'm still uncomfortable at the thought of it.
My ears perked up at a slight crunch above us. "Did you guys hear that?" I asked.
"I thought I heard something." Said Mike. Ben nodded along, but I was pretty sure that he was just doing that to seem like the rest of us.
My eyes went wide with panic. Someone was following us. I narrowed my eyes. They should be no match.
Ben POV:
Erica said she heard something and Mike agreed with her. I nodded, but I didn't hear anything.
I looked at Erica and saw her narrow eyes. "Someone is following us. I'll go check. If I don't come back in 10 minutes, come find me. If I'm not there, keep low. The best is for you to go back.
Erica POV:
I quickly swam off and peeked at the shore. I squinted. I could make out a person with long purplish black hair. Oh no. Whoever they were needed to be taken care of, or they'll blabber to BLISTER and our cover will be broken.
I carefully swam to the shore.
Raven POV:
I kept on listening, and it seemed like Sophia had left.
But then I caught on the word 'following'. Uh oh. Did they find me out? I heard a weird sound in the ocean that didn't sound like waves. I spun around to find a teenage girl around Sophias age looking at me.
She glared at me and said, "You're from BLISTER, aren't you?"
I knew I was a bad liar. "Uh...no?" I tried my best to sell it.
She didn't buy it.
I had two options now, flee, or fight.
But the decision was not mine. The girl launched into an attack, and I had no choice but to counter it. I ducked and swerved. Whoever she was, she was quick. I tried to get a couple of jabs on her, but none seemed to make direct contact. Looks like I'll have to go all out. I thought.
I unleashed a fury of punches and kicks, all while dodging her attacks. I landed a few jabs on her arm and she fell back, looking at her arm. She seemed confused. I took advantage of that and jabbed at her other arm. She glared at me and used her legs instead. But that just gave me more room to hit her.
She fell down, unable to move. I quickly sprinted away.
Erica POV:
What was that? I stared, watching the woman run away. It must be what Sophia mentioned. Chi-blocking. I never got the chance to research it, I was too busy.
Ben POV:
It had to have been at least 10 minutes...what if Erica is in trouble?
"Relax, Ben," said Mike. "Erica can handle herself. Also, its been 5 minutes. Tops."
Mike was right. I was worrying too much. "Fine." I said. "We can wait a bit longer."
