ฅ Side story 2: The Confusion (TD's Story)

"Hah, I can't do this. It's killing me..."

Knocking his head against the wall, our Theodore was depressed.

Another regular day in the pet shop and the bell rang again.

"Excuse me, I want to adopt a dog." A young girl stood at the entrance door, asking with her soft voice.

Matsuno turned around when he was feeding the dogs. He was quite surprised to see her hanging on to the door. She's quite shy. I should be careful with my words or else she'll feel uncomfortable.

He took a breath, greeting his costume with a smile, "Please come in! These fellas here are waiting for their new owner."

She walked in then took a look around, wondering who she wanted to adopt when there were so many of them here.

"Do you have any preference?"

"Yes?" She startled when the owner suddenly asked, eyes moving from left to right. "Maybe... A small and fluffy pup."

"Ah! We do have one that suits you. She's a white Pomeranian, around six week old. Would you like to see her?"

The girl seemed to be surprised but happy in a sense. "Yes please!" She replied.

"I got it. This way please!"

Meanwhile, in the playground.

"TD! TD!"

The male cat didn't seem to pay a heed. He was lying on top of the cat tree like usual, crossing his paws while eyes were gazing out the window.

So you're ignoring me, huh? Fine then!

Femi closed her eyes, taking a deep deep breath and yelled as hard as she could.

"THEODOREEEEEEEEEEEE!"

He responded in anger, "JUST WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU YELLING FOR? IT'S JUST HALF PAST THREE IN THE AFTER-----"

"WILL YOU TWO KNOCK IT OFF! WE'RE HAVING A CUSTOMER HERE!" Matsuno literally roared while his fist raised up until he realized something. Oh no! Just as he thought, the girl was terrified, completely shaken from the loud voice.

"Please don't be scared. These two are always like that but they won't go any further than this haha." He explained in a quick pace, hoping she would not have a heart attack.

"It---it's alright. I was just surprised, that's all!" She chuckled.

"Arff."

Both of their eyes looked at the little pup she was holding in her arms. The Pomeranian gave her a bright smile, making her feel that instant connection.

"I'll take her, please!" The girl smiled tenderly.

Another one left... But I'm glad you have a new home. He had never gotten used to this sensation though this shop had been in business for nearly two years. "I understand. Please come to the counter over there. I'll note down his diet for you."

Femi watched them walk away before stomping her feet on the floor.

"That's because you didn't hear me!" She whispers.

She's right. It's indeed my fault. TD hopelessly sighed. "Fine, what is it?"
