"Mun-Su!"
He didn't slow down or look back, shaking fists down by his sides as he stormed his way to the lobby, Jae-Heon running after him.
"Mun-Su, wait!"
He didn't acknowledge the swordsman, eyes fixed firmly in the direction he was moving. His fists were itching to punch something and he couldn't count on his self-control to not break and go for Jae-Heon, so he ignored him.
"You need to calm down," Jae-Heon's words were once again ignored by the volatile man, his brow furrowed in frustration and he clenched his fists. He overtook Mun-Su and blocked his path.
"Stop," he said harshly, eyes steely and leaving no room for discussion.
Finally looking down to glare at the obstacle in his path, Mun-Su all but spat, "I don't need to calm down, I need to help." He shoved past but was pulled back by the sleeve of his hoodie, Jae-Heon making him face him again.
"Bursting in guns blazing isn't going to help anyone," Jae-Heon said, the complete opposite to Mun-Su's anger. "We need to be calm about this. If you want to help—"
"No!" Mun-Su yelled, no longer trying to spare Jae-Heon his fury and getting in his face with a wide eyed glare. "How many of those cowards will actually defend Seung-Jae?" It wasn't a question, and he didn't let Jae-Heon answer before he continued on his rant. "Every one of those cowards just sat by and let Mrs Ahn get abused by that bastard! Who the fuck is gonna stand up for Seung-Jae against a guy like that?"
Did he seriously want Mun-Su to drop this? Just let Sang-Wook go on his merry way completely scott free? Mun-Su was sick to his fucking stomach with letting shit like this go, first Eun-Hyuk told him to stay away from Seok-Hyeon and now Jae-Heon was telling him to do the same with Sang-Wook! Where did it end? What would it take to make these people act!? Mun-Su wasn't particularly fond of Seung-Jae but that didn't mean he could allow him to get hurt.
Throughout his yelling, he had gotten closer and closer to Jae-Heon, aggressively invading his space. Jae-Heon put a hand on his chest to put some distance between them but Mun-Su smacked it aside. "None of them are gonna do shit! So, I fucking will!" He turned sharply on his heel and went to leave. Jae-Heon's even voice made him falter and stop.
"And if you make it worse?" Jae-Heon asked. "Who'll look after your sister if you get hurt in the aftermath? Or what if she gets hurt?"
Mun-Su wanted to shriek that he could look after Mi-Sun just fine, but the man's words echoed in his head with an anxiety no insult or threat could recreate.
'You're gonna get someone killed one day with that anger of yours, someone who doesn't deserve it.'
Jae-Heon didn't look intimidated, showing no indication that he even thought for a minute that Mun-Su was a danger to him. As someone who was used to being revered as a rabid dog when he flew off the handle like this, it was throwing Mun-Su off a little. Though the more rational part of his conscious was grateful to know not everyone thought he was an out of control mutt. Jae-Heon's calm and collected demeanor was in stark contrast with Mun-Su's fiery rage. With each word, water washed over the flames, Mun-Su becoming a little less rigid.
"We need to resolve this as peacefully as possible," Jae-Heon said.
Mun-Su was looking at the floor, torn. A lump was forming in his throat but he forced himself to talk through it. "And if he hurts someone else?"
