Chapter fifteen

Dani's point of view

Tonight was the first night of my Hell On Earth tour and I was beyond excited. "Thank you so much for bringing me on tour with you" Nessa said. "It's no problem" I said as we got our hair and makeup done. "Dani, Rooks on live" Kiana said, running into the dressing room.

"Calm down Ki" I laughed. "He's talking about you" She said, handing me her phone. "Do you think Dani is the one?" He said. "Yeah, definitely. I've known from the day I first met her that she was the only girl I've ever wanted to be with" He said. "I remember when I grew my hair out and it looked like Justin Biebers" He laughed.

"She would always play his songs whenever I walked into a room and sing them to me" He said. "I think that's when I knew for definite that she is the one for me" He added. "I miss him already" I pouted. "Nessa, five minutes until show time" One of the stage hands said. "Good luck out there" I said, hugging her.

"Thank you" She said. "When are you seeing Rook again?" Kiana asked. "I don't know, I'm gonna FaceTime him after the show when I'm back on the bus" I said. "As much as I love touring, I can't wait for it to be over to go away with Rook" I added. "Where are you going?" She asked as I got dressed.

"I think we said about going to the Bahamas" I said. "That sounds amazing, I'm so jealous" She said. "I want someone to spoil me" She added. "I'm sure you'll find someone eventually" I laughed. "I don't need anyone when I have you as my best friend" She smiled.

"Aw, Ki" I said, hugging her. "Are you sick?" I joked. "Shut up" She laughed. "Dani, you're on soon. Be ready" One of the stage hands said, knocking on my dressing room door. "You're gonna kill it out there" Kiana said as we made our way to stage. "Thank you" I grinned as one of the tech crew set up my mic and mic pack.

"I wish Rook was here" I sighed. "I am here baby" I heard Rook laugh. "I have him on FaceTime" Kiana laughed, showing me her phone. "I know I can't be there in person because we're in different states but I'm still here to support you on your first night of tour" He smiled.

"I love you" I laughed, blowing him a kiss before making my way on stage as the intro for Now began to play. "New York! How y'all feeling tonight" I grinned as the song ended. "Man, it is good to be back. I missed y'all.

Give it up for Nessa Barrett!" I said and the crowd cheered. "This next song is one of my favourites off my new album. This is The Best Damn Thing" I said as the music began playing. After the song ended it transitioned into good 4 u before going into Misery Business.

"So this next song is a bit different than the last few songs" I said. "I wrote this song for my boyfriend Rook before we broke up so it's actually unreleased" I laughed. "This is Halo" I said as the music began playing. After the show finished, I made my way off stage.

"You killed it out there!" Kiana said, hugging me before handing me a towel and a bottle of water. "It feels so good to be back touring" I said as we made our way to my dressing room. "So what we gonna do now?" Kiana asked.

"Are we going out to celebrate a kickass first night of tour or are we gonna be boring and go back to the bus?" She asked. "Just let me change and we can head out" I laughed as we walked into my dressing room. "Every other night we can be boring" She laughed, sitting down.

"Tonight is different, it's the first night of tour therefore we need to celebrate it" She added. "I know, it's our tradition" I laughed. "Well part of our tradition; usually the guys are here with us but they're on tour as well at the moment" I added.

Once I was ready, Kiana and I made our out of the arena and got into a taxi to go to the club. "I'm going to get our drinks, I'll meet you on the dance floor" I shouted as we walked into the club. "I'll just wait for you up in VIP" Kiana shouted.

"Sounds good" I replied before I made my way to the bar and ordered Kiana and I's drinks. "What's a beautiful lady like you doing here alone?" Someone asked, resting their hand on my waist. "I'm not alone" I shouted in reply.

"Sure seems like you are" He smirked. "I'm Brad" He said. "I'm not interested" I said. "Oh come on now doll, don't be like that" He said, grabbing my wrist. "I have a boyfriend now please, leave me alone" I said.

"Where is he? I can't see him" He laughed. "He's not here, he's on tour at the minute" I said. "Yeah and I'm the president of America" He said. "If that's what you want to believe" I said as the bartender gave me my drinks.

"I got it, don't you worry your pretty little head" He winked, paying for my drinks. "Well I'm gonna go" I said, taking my drinks and making my way to VIP as fast as I could. "What took so long?" Kiana asked.

"Some creep wouldn't leave me alone" I said, handing her her drink. "Wanna stay up here all night?" She asked. "No, it's okay. I'm not gonna let him ruin our night" I smiled. After a few drinks, we made our way down to the dance floor.

After the club, Kiana and I made our way back to the hotel. "Girl, that was the best night I've had in a long while" I laughed as we sat down on the bed. "It really was" She laughed. "Thanks for coming on tour with me" I said, sitting up and looking at Kiana.

"Thanks for inviting me to come with you" She said. "It means a lot that you're here" I said. "I love you bitch" She said, hugging me. "So, have you talked to Rook?" She asked. "Shit, I was supposed to ring him after the show" I said, searching for my phone.

"You call your man, I'll see you in the morning" Kiana said, hugging me. I dialled Rooks number and rang him on FaceTime. "Hey there beautiful" He smiled. "I'm so sorry I didn't ring you when I got off stage like I promised" I said.

"It's okay babe, you deserve to go celebrate your first night of tour" He laughed. "I'm not mad at you, I promise" He said. "I wish you were here" I said. "Me too gorgeous, me too" He said. "I'm sure you had a killer first night of tour" He added.

"It was a good show" I laughed. "I seen some videos online; it looked like a great show" He said. "I'm so proud of you" He smiled. "Thanks babe, it means a lot" I said. "I do remember this one video of an unreleased song" He teased.

"Shut up" I laughed. "It sounded like a good song" He said. "Only because it's about you" I said. "True" He laughed. "But any song you write is usually always good" He added. "Thank you" I laughed. "Are you not tired?" He asked.

"I am but I promised I'd ring you after the show and I forgot" I said. "How come you're still awake?" I asked. "You woke me up when you rang me" He laughed. "I'm sorry, you should've told me" I said. "It's okay, I missed seeing your ugly face" He teased.

"Wow, that's rude" I said, rolling my eyes. "Come on baby, you know I think you're beautiful" He said. "Yeah yeah" I joked. "Babe, don't be like that" He whined. "I'm only teasing" I laughed. "I hate you" He laughed. "No you don't" I smiled.

"I really don't" He laughed. "How was your show tonight" I asked. "It was good, I'm happy to be back touring but I miss waking up to you every morning" He said. "Soon babe, we'll be back together and I'll be annoying you 24/7" I laughed.

"I can't wait to see you again" He said. "Me too" I smiled. "I miss your smile" He said. "I miss yours too" I said. "How's the guys?" I asked. "They're all good, Megan flew out to see Kells so he's happy" He said. "Yeah, I was talking to Megan when she was organising it" I said.

"I keep meaning to call him but with tour prep and opening night and shit it's been hectic" I said. "Yeah, he's been asking about you" He said. "I'll have FaceTime him tomorrow after soundcheck, it's been a while since I've talked to him" I said. "I think I'm gonna get some rest babe, I'm really tired" I said.

"I'm gonna get some sleep too" He said. "I'll text you in the morning when I wake up" He added. "Sounds good, goodnight handsome" I smiled. "Goodnight beautiful" He smiled.
