Sense the funeral Danny had been in her room. She had been in her room. She was scared, sad, frustrated, pissed off. She didn't know what the fuck to think.

A knock at her door brought her out of her circling thoughts.

"Hey honey, how are you doing?" Samantha asked walking into her room and sitting on her bed.

"I'm... doing?" Danny questioned herself.

"Your leaving tonight, right?" Her mom asked.

"I actually don't know, I don't want to leave if your not okay. I certainly don't wanna go if Dad's not okay. I don't want anything bad to happen, I don't wanna loose more people." Danny sighed out.

Her dad walked by her room and heard the conversation.

"Honey, I'm okay. I'll be okay. Don't worry about me, chase your dreams babygirl. I don't want to hold you back." David comforted.

"I just don't want shit to go down. Everything is just so complicated right now. Like with Rudy, and grandpa, you guys. Like fuck, he cry's himself to sleep at night. I don't want him to get worse than last time. Like grandma died like several years ago and his mental health was shit. Like I know it's hard for him to talk about. And Rudy. That's whole fucking different story. Like are we cool are we in an awkward part of our relationship, like I don't know!" Danny yelled.

"Baby, everything is okay. Your dad's okay. You and Rudy are okay. Everything is okay. You need to get back to South Carolina and follow your dreams. We will be okay. I promise." Samantha rubbed Danny's back.

"Okay, just- promise?" Danny asked.

"Promise." David and Samantha said simultaneously. The three of them hugged then the pair excused themselves.

Thinking about what she just said to her parents she grabbed her song notebook that she purposely left in Alaska, not wanting to write while with friends. She also grabbed a pencil and began scribbling down her thoughts and ideas.

She kept writing until the pencil was dull, then went to sharpen it. A knock at her window brought her out of her thoughts.

Rudy made hand signals gesturing for him to come in. Danny nodded and he happily opened the window.

"Whatcha workin' on?" He asked.

"Nothing, don't look at it, for the love of god please don't." She said facing the pencil sharpener. When she turned around Rudy was on her bed consumed in her notebook.

"Hey!" She yelled.

"C'mon you know I didn't read that much." Rudy slightly pouted.

"I'm sorry bubs-" Danny stopped herself before continuing. She called him bubs. She's never done that.

"Bubs?" Rudy asked after a moment of silence.

"No no i-i said Rudes I miss spoke- yeah yeah I miss spoke." Danny tried to lie.

"You called me bubs." Rudy said going soft and grabbing Danny to tickle her.

She was way to ticklish to play games like this with him.

"Stop!" She squealed from under him. He stopped and looked into her eyes, she looked into him eyes. He bent down a pressed a short kiss to her lips.

"Your pretty." He said smiling like an idiot.

"Shut up jerk face." Danny rolled her eyes playfully.

"I actually came to ask you if you wanted to go get Chipotle." Rudy said getting off of her so she could sit up.

"Nah I'm good." She passed him up on the offer.

"Daniela Lynch refusing her favorite place to get food from!" Rudy gasped playfully, but he was serious, he just wanted to come of playful so she wasn't scared.

"I'm just in the zone. Maybe later?" She asked.

"Okay, but when was the last time you ate?" Rudy asked grabbing her waist to bring her onto his lap.

"The cookies Luke's mom gave us, wait no I had popcorn the other day with my parents." Danny smiled.

Rudy smiled softly. "But you know you need to eat more than that. Every day, breakfast lunch and dinner. So let's go, we are gonna get food now." Rudy said grabbing the girls waist and standing up.

"No Rudy I'm almost done. Gimme like shit and hour? I gotta make it in song form and add the  instrumentals. Please." Danny whined, but it was to late. Rudy was already out of her bedroom door.

"Hey you guys!" Rudy said once he saw her parents in the living room.

"Hey- what's going on there?" Samantha asked laughing.

"We're going to Chipotle, and somebody didn't want to." Rudy said sassily.

"Well excuse me!" Danny sassed back.

"Now, if I put you down-" Rudy started to ask.

"I will run away." Danny finished smiling. By now her parents had gone back to what they where doing, letting the two have their little moment.

"Okay bye now." Rudy laughed still holding onto Danny.

"Mom! Help me!" She yelled.

"Bye sweety!" Samantha laughed and waved at her daughter.

Rudy went into his house to grab his keys and wallet.

"What the hell?" Henning said.

"I'm being forced to eat!" Danny yelled. "Help me!"

"Wait where y'all eating?" Henning asked excitedly.

"Chipotle." Rudy smiled.

"Oh, get me something." Henning said walking away, probably to his room.

"Okay let's go now." Rudy said running to the car making Danny laugh.

They listened to music and Danny screamed the lyrics to every song. Just like the good old times.
