Chapter 17 - Bullbous bow

The next day, I was with Koharu and her party as Asuna and Kirito decided on staying back.

The four of us were standing among the other parties which Diavel had assembled.

Among them were Lind whereas Kibaou was nowhere to be seen.

After the whole situation regarding the Anneal blades was made clear, it seems that he had split and decided to act on his own.

Last I heard from him was that he had formed his own party.

Then, as I looked around I caught a glimpse of a familiar figure along with two others around him.

He had dark banded armour and a pointed bascinet helm that looked like an onion sprout.

Upon this, I tried my best to stop the system from taking over and showing an exaggerated look of shock.

That's why, I began to think about things that made me smile to counter it.

"....Chocolate. Chocolate cake. Chocolate pudding. Lava cake. Mm~"

Feeling my chest heat up, I shook my head, trying to force it out when I heard a voice call out.

"Keigo? You okay?"

Koharu asked with a worried look as I rubbed the back of my head before making a serious expression.

I had to at least lie to save face.

"Ah well, don't look, but do you know the names of those three guys back there?"

I said in a low voice as Koharu looked at me with a strange expression.

Then, Yuuki spoke up, raising her hand.

"Um, I think that's... Ronaldo?" Quietly, she spoke.

"It's Orlando."

Aiko said, correcting her twin as Koharu stomped her feet to gain my attention.

"Anyway, what's up? What are you up to?" She asked as I shrugged.

"Well, I'm just curious." I said as Koharu continued,

"Hmm... well, how about the details of the raid?" Koharu asked.

"Don't worry about that, Diavel's got it." I said with a chuckle.

"He's the one who lost the rock paper scissors, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to assisst him if he really needs it."

Then, as Diavel raised his arm to speak, I promptly joined his side as he began to explain the strategy for the upcoming field boss with a refreshing smile across his face.

"Listen up, everyone!"

Diavel yelled in a loud voice, but quiet enough so the large figure in the distance doesn't hear.

He pointed at the large figure which had a large build and two horns on its head.

"It has a simple attack pattern of rush, turn, rush repeatedly. If Team Cー The tanks from our partiesー couldn't properly defend against the rush attack, it can send them flying, with considerable mental impact"

Diavel said while taking a step back and signalled for me to step forward.

After a bit of hesitation, I stepped forward upon Koharu's insistence.

"Like Diavel-san here said, the tanks are going to aggro the boss and absorb its attacks. In the meantime, the attacking members, Team A and my own party Team B will deal damage from the front and sides while it is occupied. Now, based on Diavels scouting mission, we know that there's practically no change during the beta test. However, please be cautious... and as for the rest..."
