A little piece of heaven

Chapter 12

Stay

Wukong could smell them, the same smell of the fuel they used to set the fire. Kerosene, hay, and applewood. As he drew near to the camp he could hear them talking, laughing among themselves. They weren't even trying to mask their sound. It was like they didn't care that they just attempted to murder two men and there child. Wukongs hackles raised and his eyes grew red with the intent to kill. This was his family, his master, his successor, his brother. They were almost taken from him once again. This hadn't happened in years.

This would have been a lot faster if he had his staff. Technically he could always summon it, but it was still too early to do so. He walked forward, the male that smelled of ink, and paper sat the farthest and noticed him first.

"Hey look...its a monkey...sorry we don't have any banana's." The others started to laugh. There was one that seemed iffy about laughing. He pointed, and told the other guys with a shaky voice.

"That's...dude...dude that's Sun Wukong..."

Jack scoffed and patted the guys back.

"Sun Wukong is just a fairy tale, Henderson. There is no way in existence that there could ever be a monkey that's stronger than a god." The guy took a bite of something on a plate. Wukong couldn't tell what it was from his standpoint, nor did it matter.

"Are you the ones responsible for trying to kill my master and his family?" Wukong growled out.

"What you mean those gay guys, and there dumb kid?" Wukong's hackles raised and he growled loudly at the man who answered.

"I'll take this as a yes."

"What do you mean by...try?" Jack asked standing up, there was a gun in his hand. Wukong watched him raise the gun and try to run past him.

"You will not harm my family, in any way." Wukong grabbed Jack's arm.

Xiaotian didn't to much like the sound of the sirens or the bright lights. Curling himself up tightly against Pigsy's chest as he sat done in the yard. The firefighters spray water onto the house. Tang sat against the fence with an oxygen mask on his face. He was still recovering and honestly this was scary too.

"So you're telling me that all these things have been happening to you lately...are nothing more then hate crimes?" The police officer Lt. Rin was the same one from the hospital. Obviously given the case and was there to close it. Her cat ears twitched as she looked around at the infant as he coughed a little.

"Doesn't sound good." Detective Ketz mumbled, but he wasn't looking down at Xiaotian. He was looking at the woods. He pulled off his hat and a pair of white ears twitched in the direction Wukong had gone to. Pigsy pulled Tang closer in a protective nature.

Rin's hand went to her gun as she saw a single person walk out of the woods dragging four guys with him. He dropped them at the feet of the two officers.

"All yours." He sat on the ground in front of Pigsy and Tang. Pulling his cape from his shoulders he placed it onto his successor.

"And who is this?" Rin asked them. Tang looked up at the officers and smiled.

"Our son's godfather." Pigsy said, swaddling him tightly.

15 years later

"Order up!" Pigsy barked out and looked around. He turned one way and then the other. His delivery boy still hadn't come back. His cell phone dinged and he looked down. Anger on his face. "One star! A one star review!" He stomped out of his noodle shop and glared at the boy who only just arrived on Mei's bike. "Do you mind explaining to me why I got a one star review on Pigsy's Noodles?"

"The cart wheel flew off dad. Honestly. Mei can vouch for me. I ran to get the noodles to him though." He said, the staff along his back.

"Well alright, but as long as you do better next time. Where did you leave the cart?"

"Is he alright?" Tang asked, coming down the stairs. He was doing the restaurant booking reports.

"Yes, just the cart being an old creaky piece of work again."

"I think it's about time we got another cart." A second cart drove up and Wukong stepped out. He took the job to stay close to MK.

"Just about time isn't it." Pigsy chuckled.

"Ah well...let's get to Flower Fruit Mountain bud...time to get to training." Wukong stretched, his tail puffing out as he did.

"Yeah sure, just let me grab my water bottle." The kid ran inside.

"Be good." Pigsy waved over his shoulder pulling down on the store's door to close it up. Xiaotian ran by kissing Pigsy's cheek.

"Bye dad, bye baba." He called over his shoulder.

"Back by dinner time!" Tang called out.
